Section 1a: How to create an Oracle account

Important! Java licenses installed on your home/personal computers for use when connecting to the bank’s network does not constitute commercial use of the software license.

1. Open the Safari app and browse to the following Oracle site to create a personal account. https://profile.oracle.com/myprofile/account/create-account.jspx

2. Enter your personal email address and other details in the appropriate fields. Be sure to complete all the required fields.

3. Click Create Account. 4. After your account is created, you'll receive a confirmation email at the email address that you provided. 5. Follow the instructions in the email to verify your email address.

Section 1b: How to install Java JDK 1. Once signed in, browse to the following link: https://www.oracle.com/java/technologies/javase/javase-jdk8-

downloads.html

2. Locate the section labeled MacOS x64, click jdk-8uxxx-macosx-x64.dmg.

*We recommend using the latest version of Java JDK 8, which may or may not be displayed in the image above* 3. A message box will appear, click Accept License Agreement and then click the .dmg file to download button. 4. Enter you Oracle credentials and click Sign in. (Download starts automatically) 5. In the Safari app on your Mac, click the Show Downloads button near the top-right corner of the Safari window;

click jdk-8uxxx-macosx-x64.dmg to open installer. 6. Once the Java installer has started, click Continue. 7. Click Install to begin the process. 8. When prompted, enter your macOS password and click Install Software. 9. Once the installation is finished, click Close. 10. Please restart your Mac by choosing Apple menu > Restart.

Section 2: How to install Citrix Workspace

1. Navigate to Apple menu > About this Mac, confirm your current OS version. 2. Browse to Citrix’s website to download the appropriate version of Citrix for your computer.

o Citrix Receiver 12.7 – Compatible with Mac OS 10.10, 10.11, 10.12 https://www.citrix.com/downloads/citrix-receiver/legacy-receiver-for-mac/receiver-for-mac-127.html

o Citrix Workspace (Latest) – Compatible with Mac OS 10.13, 10.14, 10.15 https://www.citrix.com/downloads/workspace-app/mac/workspace-app-for-mac-latest.html

3. Click Download Citrix Workspace app for Mac. 4. In the Safari app on your Mac, click the Show Downloads button near the top-right corner of the Safari window;

click CitrixWorkspaceApp.dmg. 5. Click Install Citrix Workspace package to launch the installer. 6. Click Continue to step through the installer. Click Agree to accept the terms. 7. Enter your macOS password when prompted. 8. Once the installation is finished, click Close.

Section 3: Configuring your Safari Browser To identify your current version of Safari, navigate to Safari tab > About Safari.

Safari 10

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Preferences > Security. 2. Uncheck the box next to Block Pop-up Windows.

3. Next to Internet Plug-ins, click Plug-in Settings.

4. In the left pane, select Java. 5. When visiting other websites, set the drop down box to On.

6. In the left pane, select Citrix Reciever Plug-in. 7. When visiting other websites, set the drop down box to Allow Always.

Safari 11

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Preferences > Security. 2. Uncheck the box next to Block Pop-up Windows.

3. Next, choose Websites.

4. In the left pane under General, select Content Blockers. 5. When visiting other websites, set the drop down box to Off.

Safari 12/13/14

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, choose Preferences > Websites. 2. In the left pane under General, select Content Blockers.

3. When visiting other websites, set the drop down box to Off.

4. In the left pane under General, click Pop-up Windows. 5. When visiting other websites, set the drop down box to Allow.

*You can re-enable these settings later for other websites, but please ensure these are disabled for dbRASweb usage*

Section 4: Connect to Virtual Desktop Please follow this guide for connecting remotely to your DOD/SDOD or Physical Desktop through Virtual desktop option (Citrix).

1. In the Safari app on your Mac, click one of the links below to launch the dbRASweb landing page.

2. Choose your nearest location and how you wish to authenticate, then click Login.

3. Enter your login credentials and click Sign In.

4. Please click Download button to download Pulse Secure’s Application Launcher package.

5. You will see the following popup ‘Do you want to allow downloads on’, click Allow.

6. In the Safari app on your Mac, click the Show Downloads button near the top-right corner of the Safari window. Next, click PulseSecureAppLauncher.dmg. (You only have to install this one time)

7. Press Control + Mouse Click on ‘PulseSecureAppLauncher.mpkg’ icon. Then from the Control menu, select Open With > Installer (default).

8. From the ‘Install Pulse Secure Application Launcher’ installer, click Continue. Follow the installer prompts and if required, provide your MacOS device password.

9. Once the package installation process is finished, click Close.

10. Click HERE to be redirected back to Host Checker homepage.

11. On the Host Checker home page, you will see the following pop-up message for ‘PulseApplicationLauncher’, click Allow.

12. On the following pop-up message, click Open.

Having Trouble? Getting an error for ‘Pulse failed to launch Java applet’? Click HERE to resolve.

13. Click Always on the following pop-up messages. (If you select Always then this won’t appear again when you connect next time)

14. Do you want to allow Pulse Secure to contact the server? Select Always. If any of the above pop-up windows do not appear, please look behind the browser. (Steps 11-14)

15. Please enter your macOS admin password and then click OK.

16. After entering your macOS admin credentials, JSAM will launch. (Typically this will load in the bottom left corner of mac desktop)

17. Select Allow on the following popup for “Java” incoming connections request.

18. On the Welcome to dbRASweb page, please click Virtual Desktop tab and then click Launch dbGroup UA button as shown below.

19. Login into dbGroup UA with your DB Windows credentials.

Having trouble? Getting a message for “Detect/Scan for Receiver”? Click HERE to resolve.

20. After successful logon and in case of multiple Desktops/Apps, click on the Windows icon.

21. In the Safari app on your Mac, click the Show Downloads button near the top-right corner of the Safari window. Next, double click Danainfo=ua… file as shown below.

Having trouble? Receiving an error for ‘Failed to open the original configuration file? Click HERE to resolve.

22. You will see this message appear that states “Starting desktop...

23. Finally, a Citrix window will appear hosting your Windows virtual desktop.

Troubleshooting/Java I: Verifying and Uninstalling Java JDK Verifying Java version

1. In the Finder app on your Mac, click the Go menu in the menu bar. 2. From the Go menu choose Go to Folder. 3. Type the folder’s pathname /Library/Java, then click Go. 4. Select JavaVirtualMachines folder and confirm there is a jdk.1.8. subfolder as shown below.

Important! If the version is out dated or you don’t see a file that starts with ‘jdk’ as shown above. Please follow the instructions below for uninstalling Java.

Uninstalling Java Uninstalling Java with Terminal application

1. Navigate to Finder app , open the /Applications/Utilities folder, and then double-click Terminal. 2. In the Terminal app , copy and paste one command at a time and execute each command below. macOS

password is required after running first command. Important! Password characters in terminal will not populate as you type, please take your time.

sudo rm -fr /Library/Java/* sudo rm -fr /Library/Internet\ Plug-Ins/JavaAppletPlugin.plugin sudo rm -fr /Library/PreferencePanes/JavaControlPanel.prefPane sudo rm -fr ~/Library/Application\ Support/Java

3. Please restart your Mac by choosing Apple menu > Restart.

Troubleshooting/Java II - macOS Firewall If JSAM fails to connect or if prompt for entering your macOS credentials fails to populate, follow these steps to resolve. Important: Please confirm that Java is properly installed before following this section. If you are unsure of this, click Here to verify Java is installed correctly.

1. On your Mac, choose Apple menu > System Preferences, click Security & Privacy, then click Firewall. 2. Click the lock icon to unlock it, then enter your Mac administrator name and password. 3. Click Turn On Firewall. 4. Once the Firewall is turned On, select Firewall Options…

5. You will see 2 checked off boxes in blue, deselect the second option as shown below and click OK.

6. Click the lock icon to lock preventing any further changes, 7. Please restart your Mac by choosing Apple menu > Restart.

Troubleshooting/Pulse Secure- Error: Pulse Application Launcher (PSAL) Failed to Launch Java Applets (Big Sur)

Either you are connecting to dbrasweb for the first time or you are just now experiencing this error. This error prevents ‘Java Secure Application Manager’ (JSAM) applet from opening. Please follow this guide to resolve this issue.

1. Navigate to Apple Menu > System Preferences.

2. From the System preferences menu, select Security & Privacy.

3. From the Security & Privacy menu, select the fourth tab on the right labeled Privacy. 4. From the left pane, select Full Disk Access.

5. Unlock the pane by clicking the lock icon in the lower-left corner and enter the administrator username and password.

6. Once you’ve unlocked Privacy preferences, click the box next to ‘PulseApplicationLauncher’ to enable Full Disk Access.

7. Be sure to log out of dbrasweb via Launch dbGroupUA page (Welcome to dbRAS). 8. Close Safari by selecting Safari Tab > Quit. 9. Open Safari and browse to dbrasweb to sign in.

Troubleshooting/Citrix Viewer - Error: Failed to open the configuration file (Big Sur)

Either you are connecting to dbrasweb for the first time or you are just now experiencing this error. This error prevents the downloaded Citrix file ‘Danainfo=ua..’ (ICA Client) from launching and opening your virtual desktop. Please follow this guide to resolve this issue.

1. Navigate to Apple Menu > System Preferences.

2. From the System preferences menu, select Security & Privacy.

3. From the Security & Privacy menu, select the fourth tab on the right labeled Privacy. 4. From the left pane, select Full Disk Access.

5. Unlock the pane by clicking the lock icon in the lower-left corner and enter the administrator username and password.

6. Once you’ve unlocked Privacy preferences, click the box next to ‘Citrix Viewer’ to enable Full Disk Access.

*If you see any other ‘Citrix’ options disabled, please enable and close the lock before exiting* 7. Be sure to log out of dbrasweb via Launch dbGroupUA page (Welcome to dbRAS) and close ‘Secure Application

Manager’ (JSAM) applet. 8. Select Safari Tab > Quit. Open Safari and browse to dbrasweb to sign in.

Troubleshooting/Safari – Cleaning browser history and empty safari cache.

1. Go to your safari, click on History > Clear History

2. Click on Clear history (Please choose date appropriately)

3. If you don’t have the Develop menu available, go to Safari > Preferences >. Show Develop menu in menu bar.

4. Go to Develop > Empty Caches

Troubleshooting/Citrix (dbGroup UA) - Unable to Launch Virtual Desktop after Citrix Receiver Scan After launching dbGroup UA, you will see the following message displayed “Use Citrix Receiver to access your applications and desktops”.

1. Click Detect Receiver.

2. On this page, click Already Installed. 3. A popup will appear with the message ‘You Are opening the application Citrix Workspace Launcher” for the first time’,

click Open. 4. Click the Windows icon next to your hostname to download ICA Client file.

Important! Once you attempt to launch your desktop for the first time, the ICA Client file will fail to download. This will be

indicated by the windows icon continuously loading.

Resolution

1. In the Safari app , select the 1st open window tab labeled ‘Welcome to dbRASweb’.

2. From there, click Launch dbGroup UA for the second time.

3. Click Windows icon to download the ICA client file.

4. Click Show Downloads button near the top-right corner of the Safari window to view the ICA Client file download. 5. Next, double click Danainfo=ua… file to launch your virtual machine.

Troubleshooting/DOD/LT/WS - Reboot your Virtual Desktop In case the remote desktop is in an unstable state and the connection cannot be established, please attempt to restart your DOD using the instructions below.

1. From the dbGroup UA page, click Details. 2. Click Restart. 3. Confirm you want to restart this machine, click Restart
