Another step in the fight against Childhood Heart Disease Today, eight babies will be born with a heart defect in Australia - that’s almost 3,000 a year! Tragically many will not live to see their first birthday.

Since 2003, Amway and IBOs have been helping children around the world live, work and play.

That’s why the Amway One by One Campaign is continuing the fight against childhood heart disease through a recent donation of

$274,000 to the highly acclaimed Grace Centre for Newborn Care at Westmead Children's Hospital

$124,200 for HeartKids Australia, to help the fight against childhood heart disease

$30,000 for Cystic Fibrosis and Indigenous literacy

$18,400 to the Mater Foundation, to fund two Twin Neonatal Cots for twins who are born prematurely or critically ill

$10,000 towards early intervention therapies for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

Daphnie Difei Zhang and Shaoliang JiangIn China, Daphnie worked as a medical officer while Shaoliang ran a small business. But when Daphnie moved to New Zealand, she found it difficult to find a job in the same field, working various part-time jobs instead.

Then, a friend introduced her to NUTRIWAY®. “As a medical officer, I know how important good supplements are to optimal health,” says Daphnie. “After seeing the results on my health, I was sold.”

When Daphnie attended a seminar run by Holly Chen (the world’s biggest Amway pin), she realised Amway not only produces great products but also creates better life opportunities. Daphnie signed up with Amway in 2002 and is now a full-time IBO, helping to run Holly’s New Zealand group. Now retired from her traditional job, Shaoliang helps Daphnie with the Amway business.

“Starting as an IBO, it was hard to get our heads around so many products and so

much business information,” says Daphnie. “It’s hard to make that first step to sponsor someone into the business when you’re still learning yourself. It is so important to have a good and supportive upline. Holly Chen is not only our business mentor but also our life mentor.”

Shaoliang and Daphnie can be found at the Auckland Business Centre pretty much every day. “It is a great place to showcase Amway products to new prospects and customers. We also use the meeting rooms for group training and functions. Everything is already there to help you build your business so why not use it?”

“Achievers’ trips are the best incentive. The Supertrip has really motivated our group. We don’t want to travel on the cruise alone, we want our team to travel with us! That is our goal and we’re all working to make it come true.”

Konvika Wanchaijiraboon and Shaun MatherBorn into a very strict family in Thailand, Konvika was raised to a life of home, housework and schooling. “I always dreamed of being a business woman, so my world would no longer be like it was.”

Three years ago, Konvika joined Amway and is now well on her way to realising that powerful dream.

The Amway business came along at a time when the earning potential of the couple had suffered a terrible blow. Konvika’s husband Shaun had an accident that left him with a reduced capacity to work. Although he was initially sceptical that Amway could support them, Konvika explains that once she became a Silver Producer, Shaun

became her biggest supporter.

“It was very challenging at first as my upline lives in Thailand and I still had two jobs. But I decided nothing would stop me.” After becoming a Silver Producer, and with Shaun fully convinced of the power of the business, Konvika left both jobs behind to focus on Amway full time.

Today, she has her eyes set firmly on achieving Emerald. “It’s such a wonderful business opportunity for such a small investment. Amway provides almost everything we need; quality products, training and a fantastic marketing plan. What else do you need?”

I‘ve always known Amway would be a great business opportunity but I thought I wasn’t good enough to do it. I underestimated myself.

Joy and Vandana MedirattaJoy and Vandana recently qualified as Emerald in the US and Platinum in Australia, becoming a worldwide AMWAY® success. “The business has helped us buy a beautiful home in Atlanta,” says Joy. “We also sponsor many kids around the world for food, shelter and education. To make a difference in someone’s life is a very satisfying experience.”

As a teen, Joy enjoyed reading books on leadership and self-development. Today, he works for a large business consulting firm. Vandana has an MBA in Finance and Marketing, but has since left her role to focus on Amway full time.

“One of our goals is not to be controlled by time and money,” says Joy. “The corporate world has

limitations. In our own business, there’s no ceiling on our income. We plan to double our Amway revenues over the next 12 months.”

Leanne FungLeanne grew up in an Amway household. Her parents joined the Amway business while Leanne was still at school in Johannesburg, exposing her to many motivated and successful people. Leanne thrived in this environment and, in 1997, travelled to Canada as South Africa’s Junior Achiever of the Year.

A successful banking career followed, managing global multi-million dollar transactions in commodities. However, after the GFC struck, Leanne came to Australia.

Initially, she joined Amway to access the products she trusted as well as the savings and benefits. It was only later that Leanne realised the huge business opportunity. “My trade finance career involved assessing many businesses. Amway presented a low risk free

platform with uncapped income potential. The buying decisions are mainly based on every day needs so as a business, it is less subject to the whims of the economy than other business models and it’s recession proof.”

With no existing social networks, Leanne had to build her business from cold prospects, arming herself with strong motivational goals - family and financial freedom. “Everything you want is outside your comfort zone. So I made my dream greater than my fear.”
