Connect & Canvas Student Registration

Step 1: To get started, enter your Canvas username and password. Click Login (A).

Step 2: Under Courses, click on Course name (B).

Step 3: Under the Home menu, click on Modules (C).

Step 4: Locate and click on UF: MH Connect link (D).

Step 5: Click on Load McGraw-Hill Campus in a new window (E).

Step 6: Click on the box to agree to the Terms of use (D). Click Get Started (E).

Step 7: Click on Connect (F) button.

Step 8: Enter a valid email address (G). Click on Find my account (H).

Step 9: If new Connect user, click create a new account (I).

Step 10: If an existing Connect user, enter Connect password (J)and click Log In (K).

Step 11: Registration options- 1. Connect Student Access Code

• Purchase from Bookstore. • Beware of invalid codes if purchased elsewhere.

2. Purchase Connect online

• Allows full access to Connect and SmartBook/LearnSmart. 3. Get courtesy access

• Two week full Connect access. • Must upgrade when courtesy access expires.

Step 12: Enter a contact email address (O) and click Complete My Registration (P).

Step 13: Click go to my course (Q).

•  Enter  your  Connect  Code  that  you  have  purchased  together  with  your  textbook  (or  buy  your  code  right  here  via  this  web  page)  •

•  Next  (me,  you  do  not  need  to  take  registra(on  steps        (pages  8,  10-­‐17).    Canvas  will  take  you  directly  to  your  Connect  account  

•  You  always  must  enter  Connect  via  Canvas,                                                      even  though  an  automated  email  with  a  confirma(on  of  your  registra(on  will  tell  you  that  you  can  enter  Connect  directly.  If  you  enter  Connect  directly  via  their  web  page  (yes,  you  can),  your  HW  scores  will  not  be  transferred  to  our  grading  system  at  UF.
