Editor’s Spotlight on Dr. Rob Konopaske
Dr. Konopaske has been at Texas State for 10 years and is extremely proud to call himself a Bobcat! He teaches and coordinates MGT 3303 Management of Organizations, MGT 5339 International Human Resource Management and MGT 5318 Cross-cultural Management courses. Dr. Konopaske’s current research focuses on understanding how generational differences in the workplace can influence knowledge transfer, teamwork, and leadership development. For the past nine months, he has been busy adjusting to his new role as the Director of the Institute for Global Business (IGB). Tasked with helping globalize the McCoy College, he enjoys working with the talented officers of the Students in International Business group, facilitating a new advisory board of international professionals, and coordinating the annual Export Fellows Certification program. Dr. Konopaske will take 30 graduate students on the McCoy College’s Study Abroad Program to Lima, Peru. His proudest moment at Texas State was when he and his wife, Vania, decided to establish the “David R. Cosner Scholarship Endowment” in the name of his former student, David Cosner. David, who is battling a life-threatening disease, taught Dr. Konopaske many lessons, one of which is to do everything within your power to make a positive impact on others.
