　21世紀という新たな時代。それは、変革の波がより大きく増幅される時代です。企業は新しい

　私どもシークスは、その前身を含めてすでに約60年にわたって、こうした競争の荒波に揉まれ

ながらも成長してきました。そして、これまでの歴史の中で大切にしてきたのは、「ゼロの概念」、

すなわち何もないからこそ今までにないものを生み出せるというチャレンジ精神。そして、「人と

のつながり」です。この二つの理念を事業推進の不変的な原動力としてきました。

Confronting the 21st CenturyThe 21st Century will foist us into the midst of drastic change. As existing systems and values fail to meet the needs of the times, businesses of all sizes and types the world over will struggle for survival. At SIIX Corp., we have grown together with global change and fierce competition for 60 years, including the period when we were part of Sakata Inx International Division. However, not all has changed: there are tenets we hold true and intend to maintain in the future. One is our unique concept of "zero". By "zero" we mean an insatiable desire and constant readiness to take up challenges, a belief that being empty-handed does not mean being incapable of action. Another is the sense of relationship with the many people who have supported SIIX until now. The concept of zero and this emphasis on relationships remain our most important driving forces for business expansion. At the beginning of the 21st century SIIX reaffirms its commitment to upholding this company philosophy while working to digest and apply the latest trends at the forefront of these ever-changing times.In the electronics industry, Electronics Manufacturing Services (EMS) are emerging as the focus of attention because of the increasing need for outsourcing deriving from the progressing shift toward horizontal business divisions as opposed to a system where a single manufacturer produces all. SIIX has established a worldwide network to manage R&D, parts procurement, assembling, manufacturing and logistics. We provide integrated or partial services from up-stream to down-stream. One of our vital concerns is how to satisfy customers' requests for cost savings, shorter lead-time from R&D to mass-production as well as business efficiency. 誕生 現在 未来

1992年7月にサカタインクス（株）の海外事業

部が分離独立し、サカタインクスインターナシ

ョナルとして設立されました。サカタインクスの

海外事業部は、1957年以来、電子部品・デバイ

ス、民生・産業電子機器等の輸出入販売を行っ

てきました。以後数々の新規事業を立ち上げ、

1998年7月に会社名をシークス株式会社と改

称、2005年6月には東証第一部に上場し、今に

至っています。

The Overseas Business Department of Sakata Inx was spun off and established Sakata Inx International Corporation in July 1992. This department of Sakata Inx had, since 1957, been concerned with the export, import, and sale, of such products as electronic components/devices, consumer and business-use electronic equipment, and industrial machinery. After a string of new businesses were established, the firm's name has been changed to SIIX in July 1998 and listed in the 1st Section of Tokyo Stock Exchange in June 2005.

情報機器（PC周辺機器、事務機器等）イメージ・スキャナ、プリンター、複写機等の基板実装及

び完成品製造・販売を手がけております。特にイメージ・

スキャナに関しましては、当社グループが部材調達から

製造を経て完成品物流まで一貫して取り扱っております。

産業機器（パワーツール用エンジン点火装置、医療機器等）エンジン点火装置、医療機器等の部材調達・基板実装・

物流・製造・OEM 等を手がけております。他にも業務用

エアコンやインフラ関連、リチウムイオンバッテリーモジ

ュールの組立など携わる製品は多岐にわたっており、今

後も成長が期待される分野の一つです。

家電（デジタル家電、白物家電等）デジタル家電、白物家電等の部材調達・基板実装を手が

けております。この分野は海外への生産シフトが最も進

んでいる分野であり、当社の特徴であるグローバルネッ

トワークを生かした部材調達・生産を行っております。

車載（車載AV・車載電装品等）自動車の電子化を当社の重点分野として取り組んでお

ります。車載用オーディオ機器（カーオーディオ）の部材

調達・基板実装から完成品販売、メーター・フロントパネ

ル・エクステリア等各種車載機器に関わるビジネスを手

がけております。また近年では、ADAS分野にも注力し

ております。

一般電子部品歴史的にもシークスの基盤となっている部門で、半導体

素子、コンデンサなど、家電及び電子機器の生産に必要

な部品・部材の調達を国際調達のパートナーとして世界

各地から幅広く展開しております。

Communication equipment (Base station of cellular phones, etc.)We engage in sales and manufacture of base station and etc.

Motor vehicle mounted devices (Car audio, Automotive electric parts etc.) Based on the background of developing computeriza-tion of the car, we deal with vehicle devices as our main fields. We handle from material procurement, circuit boards assembly to sale of completed products for car-audio and automotive equipments such as meters, front panels and various exteriors. Additional-ly, we are focusing on ADAS business in recent years.

Electronic componentsThis division is the historic basis for SIIX. As a partner of global procurement operations, we widely procure parts and materials needed for the electronics devices including semiconductor devices, and capacitors.

Electric appliance (Home appliance etc.)We engage in material procurement and circuit boards assembly for digital appliances and home appliances. In this field, manufacturing transfer to foreign coun-tries is advanced, we manage logistics and manufac-ture by making full use of the characteristics of our companies’ global network.

Information devices (Computer peripheral equipment, Office equipment etc.)We engage in sales and manufacture of circuit boards assembly and completed products for image scanners, printer and copying machines. Particularly image scan-ners, our group manages every step of the project, from material procurement to manufacture and logis-tics.

Industrial equipment (Engine ignition equipment for power tools, Medical equipment etc.)We engage in material procurement, logistics and manufacture for engine ignition equipment, medical equipment. We also handle business of commercial AC and infrastructure, and assemble lithium ion battery modules, etc. in this field, which we expect as one of the most growing business fields.

Endeavoring to Become An Organizer Capable of Assembling for the WorldBased on interactive linking of each overseas network located in 14 countries, SIIX offers customers platforms providing diverse business location options and business model choices. The overseas situation for parts and materials procure-ment, production and logistics differs from that in Japan. When abroad, things do not necessarily proceed as smoothly as we would expect here in Japan. To minimize the hassles arising when our customers attempt to manage the whole operation alone, SIIX provides the system of "Just One Call Meets All." With this arrangement, every matter discussed with our customers can be managed by SIIX with a phone call to one of our group companies. Thus our customers are free from potential complications abroad. Depending on the project, SIIX arranges an optimal team combination selected from among our group companies or outside partners. This organized team helps advance the project without any major hindrance.

The Overseas Business Department of Sakata Inx became the 100%-subsidized independent firm (capital: 1 billion yen) named Sakata Inx International Corp. with a head office in Nishi-ku, Osaka.

Sakata Inx H.K. Ltd. entered into capital participation to form Panyu Kyokuto Sakata Electronics Co., Ltd. in China.

Jointly established PFU Technology Singapore Pte. Ltd. with PFU Ltd.

Jointly established Bando Sakata Ltd. in Hong Kong with Bando Chemical Industries Ltd. to commence the sale of copy machine components.

Established Sakata Inx Logistics (Phils) Inc., sales and distribution subsidiary of electronic components, devices, etc., in the Philippines.
