Types of Conflicts

Conflicts are any obstacles that a character struggles with

There are two types of conflicts

1. Internal-Occurs within the character2. External-Outside force acting on

character.

Internal Conflicts

These are known as the man vs. self conflicts

Examples include: Guilt, stage fright, rage

Think of two more.

External Conflicts

Man vs. man Example: Fistfight

Man vs. nature Heart disease

Man vs. Society Religious persecution

Conflicts

Conflicts are first presented in the exposition

They develop fully in the rising action. Conflicts reach the turning point in

climax. They are beginning to be solved in falling

action. Conflicts are resolved in resolution
