AirporT inforMATionAtlanta

For those of you flying out of Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport, you’ll find the new International Terminal (Concourse F) easy to get to and traverse – you no longer need to go through the Domestic terminals to arrive at the International Terminal. To park at the International terminal, we suggest the international park-ride (at far right in picture below).

It costs $12 per day. There is another parking deck closer to the terminal but, it is for hourly parking and can be quite costly. Drop-off at the terminal is also available. (If you’ve reached the bridge with the international flags, you’ve missed the suggested parking deck.) To navigate using your GPS, please use this address for directions to the International Terminal: 2600 Maynard H. Jackson Jr. Blvd., Atlanta, GA 30354. The international terminal entrance is accessible from interstate 75 at Exit 239.

New roadway signage will direct you to the International Terminal via interstates 75, 85 and 285. Surface street signs have also been updated to direct you to the new facility. In the map above, the Parking symbol closest to the Exit symbol is the daily parking deck we suggest. Trams/Shuttles will then take you to the terminal. Williamsburg Travel Partners also shared this parking option. You do not have to be a member to take advantage of this offer.

Currently, Atlanta is asking passengers to arrive three (3) hours before their scheduled departure.

BermudaL.F. Wade International Airport at Bermuda is a good bit smaller than Atlanta. Currently, they require check-in at least two (2) hours prior to scheduled departure.

GETTinG Around BErMudAAs you may know, rental cars are not available on the island - foreign driver’s licenses are not legal in Bermuda. Because of this, taxis are abundant and just about everywhere. You should not need to pre-arrange your ground transportation from/to the resort/airport. You may learn more by clicking here.

u.S. CurrEnCy in BErMudAThe U.S. Dollar is equal to the Bermudian Dollar. They do accept U.S. bills and coins in many places; however, you may receive Bermudian money in change. The resort’s concierge will convert to u.S. money for you at no charge. U.S. bank cards and credit cards are also widely accepted. We recommend NOT using U.S.-issued Gift Cards…some are not valid outside the states and others are not accepted in Bermuda without a foreign transaction fee (currently 3%). BEFORE you travel, you are encouraged to contact your bank and/or creditor to let them know of your international travel plans.

CELL pHonE/dATA uSAGEPlease remember to call your cell provider BEFORE you travel and add an international plan to your service for July. Mention you need cell service and data service (if you have a smart phone and use data/internet). The resort does provide WiFi service, so once you’re on property, be sure to connect so that your international data is not overused on your plan (this can be quite costly). For more information on cell service in Bermuda, visit www.bermuda-attractions.com/bermuda_0001cd.htm.

A R E A AT T R A C T I O N SBermuda Aquarium, Museum & ZooOne of the world’s oldest aquariums, this seven-acre facility remains a top attraction for all ages. The aquarium is home to more than 200 species of fish and delicate marine life, and 300 birds, reptiles and mammals fill the zoo. The museum contains interactive and audio-visual exhibits providing an insight into Bermuda’s geological formation, habitats and impact of human life.

The Crystal Caves of BermudaThere’s no denying the views of the beaches are gorgeous and the sunset are dazzling. But, if you want the most breathtaking views on the island, you have to get down to the underground. Bermuda’s top visitor attraction, this experience includes deep, clear underground pools of azure blue water and cave ceilings adorned with rare chandelier clusters and crystallized formations. Unlike anything you’ve ever seen.

Gibbs Hill LighthouseSitting 245 feet above sea level, this 117-foot tall lighthouse is one of the main sightseeing attractions in the Southampton parish. It’s also one of the oldest cast iron lighthouses in the world, construction began in England in 1844 and it was built in 1846. Head to the balcony at the top for a panoramic view of Bermuda and its shoreline, but you’ve been warned -- you have to climb 185 steps to fulfill this desire! There are 8 floors with mini exhibits on the way up so you can stop and take a break. Ships sailing in can’t miss it and neither should you!

St. George’sSettled in 1612 and formerly known as the Town of St. George, this was the first permanent English settlement on the islands of Bermuda. Often described as the third successful English settlement in the Americas, after St. John’s, Newfoundland, and Jamestown, Virginia. Today, the town has numerous historical sites including the State House from 1620 -- the oldest building on the island, as well as St. Peter’s -- the oldest surviving Anglican and oldest continuously occupied Protestant church in the Western Hemisphere.

Horseshoe BayThis beach’s facilities, lifeguards and equipment rental shops have helped secure its ranking as Bermuda’s most popular shore. With its curved stretch of pink sandy sand that meets the turquoise waters, Horseshoe Bay can provide a great snorkeling experience if you venture a little offshore. Rated the #8 beach in the world by TripAdvisor and one of the Top 20 beaches in the world by Conde Nast Traveller in 2016, this beach is well loved for good reason.

Royal Navy DockyardOh, if these walls could talk! Built in the early 19th century, The Royal Navy Dockyard was once Britain’s largest naval base outside of the U.K. From the War of 1812 until a bit after World War II, it was an essential part in the strategic defense of the Western Atlantic. These beautifully restored historical buildings are now home to great restaurants, fantastic shopping, wonderful watersports, museums, working arts and crafts studios -- and oh yes, the chance to swim with dolphins! Most definitely something for everyone!

Cathedral of the Most Holy TrinityOne of the two cathedrals in Bermuda, this Anglican cathedral is located on Church Street. Originally designed in the Early English style in 1844, it was destroyed by fire in 1869. Rebuilt in its Gothic Revival style in 1885, the structure was primarily built from Bermuda limestone. Climb the tower for a view of Hamilton and its harbor.
