The SAINT REPORT is based on the name the student chooses for

Confirmation.

The student chooses a person:

BAPTISMAL SAINT: Research a saint with the name or derivative name

of student’s given name.

ADDITIONAL SAINT: Research a saint that the student admires and

wants to adopt as a patron. Male students should choose the male derivative

of this saint; female students should choose the female derivative form of this

saint.

CHOOSE A MEMORIAL NAME: A loved one who has died and who is

admired/respected, loved. Research the saint for whom this admired person

was named.

Charity begins at home. The student should be called upon to serve the needs

of the family (out of love without monetary compensation.)

especially grandparents’ needs.)

SERVICE:

The student begins to make a habit of living a life of selfless love by being

available to serve the needs of the family so that being other-centered

becomes a way of life – Parents and older brothers and sisters are the first

models (provide good example). Praise and affirm the good example of

others.

CHARITY DOESN’T STAY AT HOME. Consider with the

student what he/she can do to serve others beyond the

family: needs or good causes within the larger community –

the parish, the neighborhood. (What/Who matters to the

student? What does he/she think needs to be changed?

Can he/she begin to make a difference? Who comes across

his/her path in life that presents an opportunity to serve?

How is the student equipped to make a difference?)
