Steps to connect the Samsung Note3 with TEMS:
1. Flash the phone with the Engineering Firmware:
Download the Engineering firmware NF4 file from
\\waprdfseng01.gsm1900.org\shared$\TEMS\Temporary\Note 3\Latest software & Temsify _ 082714\NF4
In order to flash the Note3 with an engineering or updated firmware, the following steps need to be considered:
1. Download Samsung drivers to PC through Samsung Kies desktop software (Google Samsung Kies)
2. Open Samsung Odin software included with the flash package(.exe file does not need full installation, just run)
3. With the Note 3 on, ensure the phone is in USB Debugging mode. Go to Settings->General->About Device. Then scroll to "Build Number" and tap seven times until is says in developer mode has been enabled.
4. Ensure you have at least 60% Battery Life on Note 3 handset. 5. Turn off Note 3 6. Turn on Note 3 by pressing Volume Down, Center Home, and Power buttons together for about
2-3 seconds then let go of all buttons when you see a warning screen like below 7. Press the Volume up button to enter download mode. 8. Plug in the micro-USB data cable to the Note3 handset and PC 9. In the Odin software you should see a yellow or blue highlighted box with a random COM
number in ODIN program. If you do not see it, download and install Samsung USB drivers then unplug/re-plug the micro-USB cable. Also, you may have to use a USB 3.0 cable supplied with your Note 3, try plugging it in a USB 3.0 port first and if that doesnt work plug it into a regular USB 2.0 port. One of them should work.
10. In the Odin settings select the following: o For PIT choose HLTE_USA_TMO.pit o For BL choose
BL_N900TUVUDNE6_1675747_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 o For AP choose Signed_AP_SM-N900T_ENG_EXT_1.tar o For CP choose
CP_N900TUVUDNE6_1675747_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 o For CSC choose
CSC_TMB_N900TTMBDNE6_1675747_REV03_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT.tar.md5 11. Click Start on the Odin software. The installation takes 5-10 minutes to complete. 12. Restart the phone. It may take 5-10 minutes for the phone to boot up, don't be alarmed by the
delay. 13. Your Note 3 is ready.

2. Install ODM call control Software:
Download the Temsify file from \\waprdfseng01.gsm1900.org\shared$\TEMS\Temporary\Note
3\Latest software & Temsify _ 082714
1. Launch the file Samsung_Galaxy_Note3_SM-N900T_installer-1.2.0.28
2. Click Install
3. You will receive a prompt on the device to accept the installation please click accept
4. The installation will progress and complete successfully
5. Click OK and the Device will automatically reboot and ODM will be successfully installed.Please send an email to RF Assurance ([email protected]) with the device IMEI number , requesting for ODM license
6. Once the ODM license has been granted you will be notified.

3. Install TEMS 16.1.1
TEMS 16.1.1 installation file can be downloaded from
\\waprdfseng01.gsm1900.org\shared$\TEMS\Temporary\Note 3\Latest software & Temsify _
082714
Please ensure that you use TEMS 16.1 licenses to test this software
ODM Update:
Perform ODM Updates, by accessing Ascom/TEMS Products/Utilities from the Start Menu
Device configuration to connect to TEMS:
The device needs to set the IPSec encryption algorithm to null: From dialer pad enter: *#IMS#
Step into: IMS VoLTE Settings
Step into: Bearer Settings
Step into: LTE IMS PDN
Locate (almost at the bottom): Encryption Algorithm
Change Encryption Algorithm from All to None
Press back key until you reach dialer pad again so that the value gets saved into database
Reboot the UE
Steps to connect the Note 3 for Voice Call Testing:
1. The device must be set in MTP+ADB mode and tethered (*#0808#)

2. Make sure the DPL Log is activated. In TEMS Investigation, right-click the device in the Navigator and select Properties. In the tree view, select Generic & CDMA. Scroll down to the bottom of the list of available logs and toggle the state of log 0x11EB On.
3. For proper DPL log activation you MUST put the device in Flight mode manually before pressing
activate in TEMS Investigation. After the device has connected you turn off Flight mode on the handset.
The device should be detected by TEMS as Samsung SM-N900T
Steps to connect the Note 3 for Data Call Testing:
1. Put the device in RNDIS + DM + Modem (*#0808#)
2. It should now detect in TI. Activate the device in TI
3. Ensure that the network connect activity in the script is set as below:
