CONFIDENTIALITYAnyone holding personal data for other purposes than domestic use is legally obliged to comply with The Data Protection Act, it gives rights for those who have their data stored and also gives responsibilities to those who store and process such information.

The person WHO HAS their data processed has the right to…

• View the data an organisation holds on them, for a small fee, known as 'subject access fee'• Request that incorrect information be corrected. If the company ignores the request, a

court can order the data to be corrected or destroyed, and in some cases compensation can be awarded.

• Require that data is not used in any way that may potentially cause damage or distress.• Require that their data is not used for direct marketing.

LEGISLATIONS You have a responsibility to be honest and clearly explain to clients the features and benefits of a service or product, being misleading just to get a quick sale is not professional and disloyal.

A Feature means; what the product or service does, e.g. A restructurant conditioner used for dry hair contains moisturises, which penetrate into the cortex, helps strengthen the hair and closes the cuticle

A Benefit is; what the product or service does e.g. Its quick and easy to use, helps to detangle the hair and leaves it looking shiny and healthy.

I wonder…

I love it!

If not, as the supplier you are obliged to sort out the problem!

These Acts require the vendor must ensure;
