Located in the heart of Buckinghamshire, just over an hour’s drive from central London, Waddesdon is one of Europe’s last remaining properties in ‘le style Rothschild’, standing testament to the glory days of the Rothschild family – and all that personifies hospitality.

Designed by Gabriel-Hippolyte Destailleur and constructed between 1874 and 1885, Baron Ferdinand de Rothschild built Waddesdon as a weekend retreat to entertain

friends and family, and display his exceptional collection of art. Ferdinand’s ‘Saturday to Monday’ parties, serving exceptional food and wine became legendary. Guests included royalty, politicians and celebrated artistic and literary figures.

The Rothschild family has remained devoted to Ferdinand’s vision and the tradition of legendary hospitality in a fabulous setting lives on – a tradition we invite you and your colleagues to share.

Exclusive access house tours A wonderful opportunity to see some of the Rothschild treasures inside this French Renaissance style château, including the elephant automaton, portraits by Gainsborough and Reynolds, paintings by Dutch Old Masters, extraordinary French furniture, porcelain and textiles all set off by original 18th-century panelling.

Activities We offer a range of specially designed activities and team building packages on the Estate, ideal for bringing your team together and having fun! Turn your hand to dog and duck herding, clay pigeon shooting, field archery or air rifle shooting.

Wine tastingThe Rothschilds, at the height of their influence and power throughout Europe, bought two of the finest first growth Chateaux in Bordeaux; Château Lafite Rothschild and Château Mouton Rothschild.

Today, the Wine Cellars in Waddesdon Manor are home to Lord Rothschild’s private collection of more than 12,000 bottles of rare vintage wine dating back to 1868. Led by our wine expert, you and your guests can unravel the mystique of these great wines – and discover the rising stars.

Commissioned by Lord Rothschild to house the Manor, Estate and Family Archives, and for the Rothschild Foundation to co-ordinate its philanthropic work. Windmill Hill provides an imaginative state-of-the-art space to hold conferences, discussions and debate.

Here meticulous design and a contemporary collection emphasise at every opportunity the stunning views of the landscape. Artworks include pieces by Richard Long, Anish Kapoor, Edmund de Waal, Sarah Lucus and Angus Fairhurst.

The Five Arrows Hotel and Restaurant stands near the gates of Waddesdon Manor. The hotel offers 16 newly renovated bedrooms, each with contemporary county house style, plus free parking and WiFi. The restaurant has a varied

and seasonal menu using produce from the Estate, and a wine list that encompasses a comprehensive range of Rothschild and guest wines. The adjacent Old Coach House offers meeting facilities for up to 60 delegates.
