...has been involved in English language teaching (ELT) since 1989. Her first teaching post was in Kuwait, and since then she has worked in the UK, Bahrain, Sharjah, Dubai and Switzerland. In the field of ELT Jo has held posions as part me teacher, senior teacher, Centre Manager, Academic Manager, and teacher trainer and course director on the Cambridge Cerficate in English Language Teaching to Adults (CELTA) and Diploma in English Language Teaching to Adults (DELTA) orientaon course. She has also served as an Internaonal House Visitor and for some years an EAQUALS inspector and adviser, including as a member of the EAQUALS Accreditaon Panel. In addion, Jo has been an acve member of various EAQUALS special interest groups, and is also involved in training new EAQUALS inspectors. ...has been based in Belgrade since September 2011. He is responsible for strategy and implementaon of cultural relaons projects and partnerships in Serbia. From 2012 he will be Director Western Balkans, covering Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Kosovo, Croaa, Bosnia & Herzegovina and Albania. In over 33 years in the Brish Council he has been involved in a wide range of educaonal, cultural and creave projects. He has over 40 years experience as a teacher, teacher trainer, curriculum developer, author, project manager, centre director, cultural relaons manager, country director, mentor and leader. He is passionate about learning more of different cultures, helping people connect, building and empowering teams - and enjoying life and work. He parcularly enjoys cultural relaons, strategy development, communicaon, mentoring and facilitaon. He joined the Brish Council in 1978 and has averaged 4 years each in Morocco, London, Singapore, Hong Kong, Morocco, London, Sri Lanka and Poland. Before all that he was a volunteer in Aswan, Egypt and a lecturer in the University of Tabriz, Iran. He has a law degree from Cambridge, a postgraduate diploma from Manchester and an MA from the Instute of Educaon in London. His wife Yolanda is with him in Belgrade. Their three daughters are all married and currently living in England and Cambodia. He is a commied Chrisan and loves travel, sport and food.
