Program ObjectivesPhysicians will receive current information on diverse medical subjects pertinent to patient care. Subject material was chosen based on assessed needs, current research and future trends. This educational program was developed by family physicians for family physicians.

Educational ObjectivesThis activity was developed for family physicians, and may be appropriate for other primary care physicians, midlevel clinicians, office staff, and other healthcare profes-sionals interested in improving patient care.

Upon completion of the activity, participants should be able to 1) identify family medicine practices that are relevant to the well-being of their patient population, 2) recognize and describe current diseases, and offer proper diagnosis, management and treatment options to patients and their families, and 3) apply evidence-based treatments to effectively manage patient care.

Sandcastle building competitions bring out the kid in everyone. Join us on the beautiful shores of the Gulf and demon-strate your sandcastle building artistry. Professional sandcastle artist will be onsite to provide tools and guidance for this crowd-pleasing competition. Join us for our family-friendly bonfire during the Summer CME Meeting. A weather call will be made by 4:00 pm on the day of the competition.

Conference Information and Social ActivitiesLeisure and RecreationRecreational activities at Sandestin include beach volleyball, boogie boards, hiking, bicycling, kayaking, catch-release lake fishing, wave runner rentals, pontoon boat rentals, sailing instruction, sailboat rentals, sailing charters, sunset cruises, Solaris dinner cruises, professional golf, tennis and sailing lessons.

GolfSandestin offers guests 72 holes of award-winning golf on four championship courses, including the Raven Golf Club, Burnt Pine Golf Club, The Links Golf Club and Baytowne Golf Club. All four of Sandestin’s courses were designed by world-renowned course architects. In fact, Sandestin is the only resort with courses designed by both Jones brothers – Rees Jones (Burnt Pine) and Rob-ert Trent Jones Jr. (Raven). Both the Links Golf Club and Baytowne Golf Club were designed by Tom Jackson. Sandestin also provides guests of all ages and skill levels with instruction, courtesy of the Sandestin Golf Academy. GAFP attendees can enjoy a 10% discount on green fees at the Links and Baytowne Courses.

TennisIn addition to golf, Sandestin offers world-class tennis on 15 courts. Sandestin offers 15 world-class courts in hard and Hydrogrid clay. Tennis instruction for adults and children is also available. Sandestin also maintains 7.5 miles of top-rated sugar-white sand beach and bayfront property and the 113-slip, full-service Baytowne Marina. The property also features a fitness center, salon and day spa, 19 swimming pools, an 18-hole putting course (The Dunes) and a nature park (Jolee Island).

Kids ActivitiesSandestin offers a variety of instruction programs for children including a Junior Golf Program, Sailing and Tennis instruction programs.
