2020 AIBA CONGRESSDear Members of AIBA Boxing Family,

Once again, we are here in AIBA Congress together. But, at this time, this Congress is completely different from others as we are participating via online at this unique virtual Congress due to all the health-related problems well known worldwide. Also, I believe this Congress has a great importance since we will have to elect a new President who should help us get us back to the Olympic Games because we will not have any 2nd chance at all. It is the right time to produce all necessary changes in our structure and recompose our image and status in all the Olympic and Boxing family.

We all should admit that we made a lot of mistakes in the past, and we must use these mistakes as a hard lesion so that we will be able to AVOID to walk under the same wrong way.Our National Federations and, specially, our boxers deserve to have a better future in our sport. After my in-depth involvement in AIBA for many years, once again I want to express my full and continuous commitment to serve AIBA .As I have read from one of the manifesto of one candidate, it is now a time to forget about past and look for the future as we have already had a lesson from it.

2020 AIBA CONGRESSAs I did it in Moscow in 2018, I am asking again to all National Federations to leave aside any difference among us and let us begin to work together.Future is on our hands, and we should give out boxers the new hopes of good leadership and good governance.I wish the new President the best success, and I want to ask all National Federations to do the same.Let us give a chance to all of us to rebuild our organization together with the new President and let us get our credibility from IOC which we have never received before.Thank you very much.
