    Flying the Airplane

FAMILIARIzE YOURSELF WITH ALL INSTRUCTIONS BELOWBEFORE ATTEMPTING TO LAUNCH OR FLY THIS PLANE.

    1. Choose a day when the wind is light. The Ribbon (14) attached to the Antenna (13) should be

blowing slightly (not greater than 30 degrees) and not be blowing straight out. Find a wide-openfeld.

    2. Switch the Remote Control (9) ON, the green Power LEd on the remote should illuminate- seeFigure 8. I the red Low Battery LEd illuminates, change the batteries in the remote beore

use. Turn the switch on the Fuselage (1) to ON, also.

    3. Face the Airplane into the wind. Hold the motor control button down so that the motor is runningat ull power.

Note: It is recommene that two people work together to han launch the Airplane. Oneshoul control the Remote Control an one will launch the Airplane.

    4. With the Airplane tilted at about 10 degrees upward, propel and release it into the wind.

    5. Hold the motor control button down until the Airplane climbs to about 100 to 150 eet high.6. I the Airplane does not climb smoothly, ollow the ollowing steps until the problem is

    corrected:

    a. I the Airplane rises too slowly or dives, land the plane immediately and adjust the entireback edge o the Tail Stabilizer (8) up (no more than 1/

16 at a time). Adjust the entire back

    edge evenly.

    b. I the Airplane continually rises then dives, land the plane immediately and adjust the entire

back edge o the Tail Stabilizer (7) down (no more than 1/16

at a time). Adjust the entireback edge evenly.

    7. Move the direction control stick to the let to steer to the let, and right to steer it right.

    8. I the airplane drits to the right or let excessively, land the plane and adjust the Tail Fin (8)accordingly. I the plane drits right, adjust the Fin to the let (no more than 1/

    16 at a time). I

the plane drits let, adjust the Fin to the right (no more than 1/16

    at a time).

    9. Note that letting go o the control stick and the button will automatically bring them to a neutral

position. This will cause the Airplane to glide, unpowered.

    10. Normal ight time or one ull charge is about ten (10) minutes. I the plane appears to be losingpower or climbs with difculty, the batteries are low. Land the plane.

    11. When the remote controls battery begins to reach the end o its power, the red indicator lightwill illuminate or blink. When this occurs, IMMEdIATELY LANd THE AIRPLANE. I the remotecontrols battery is allowe to ie completely, the plane will be uncontrolle an may

cause amage to property or SEVERE PERSONAL INJURY.

    12. To bring in the Airplane or landing, release the motor control button and glide the Airplanedown against the wind. I airplane descends too quickly, briey press the motor control buttonto compensate.
