Introduction• Definition of concert:
Concrete is a formulation made of mixing cement, water and aggregates together. Concrete is very strong and hence its used in infrastructure
sand Gravel Water cement

Activities 1:Hunting for objects made of concrete
• Objects and structures made out of concrete includes:1. Buildings2. Bridges3. Roads
![Page 5: Concrete, Concrete Bowling Ball SIS5](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070517/58d14ba41a28ab41128b4867/html5/thumbnails/5.jpg)
Activity 2: Comparing Different kinds of Cements
Objectives Make three cement formulations and compare the effect of adding additives on cement hardening
Materials:1. Portland cement2. Water 3. CaCl2
4. Sugar
![Page 6: Concrete, Concrete Bowling Ball SIS5](https://reader035.vdocuments.mx/reader035/viewer/2022070517/58d14ba41a28ab41128b4867/html5/thumbnails/6.jpg)
Results and Conclusion
1. Sample B hardened slower that than the other samples2. Sample C was the first sample to hardened 3. CaCl2 can be used to make the hardening rate of cement faster hence it
is considered as a catalyst

Activity 3: Comparing Different Concrete Formulations
• Objectives:Determining the strongest concrete formula based on its density • Procedure :

Activity 3: Comparing Different Concrete Formulations
We measured the density using D=

ConclusionVolume is inversely proportional to the density which leads to:1-The mixture with the least volume will have high density. 2- The coarse aggregate should to be half the total aggregates
