from Three Sacred Hymns

Lully lulla, thou little tiny child,By, by lully lullay thou little tiny child, By, by lully lullayO, sisters too how may we do,For to preserve this day;this poor Youngling for whom we do sing,By, by lully lullayHerod the king in his ragingCharged he hath this day;

His men of might, in his own sight,All young children to slayThat woe is me, poor child for thee,And ever morn and dayfor Thy parting neither say nor singBy, by lully lullayLully lulla, thou little tiny child,By, by lully lullay thou little tiny child,By, by lully lullay

God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen

God rest you merry, gentlemenLet nothing you dismayRemember, Christ, our SaviourWas born on Christmas dayTo save us all from Satan’s powerWhen we were gone astrayO tidings of comfort and joy,Comfort and joy,O tidings of comfort and joy

From God our heav’nly FatherA blessed Angel came; And unto certain shepherds Brought tidings of the same:How that in Bethlehem was bornThe Son of God by NameO tidings of comfort and joy,Comfort and joy,O tidings of comfort and joy

The shepherds at those tidingsRejoiced much in mind,And left their flocks a feedingIn tempest, storm and wind:And went to Bethlehem straightwayThe Son of God to findO tidings of comfort and joy,Comfort and joy,O tidings of comfort and joy

Богородице Дево, радуйся,благодатная Марие, Господь с тобоюБлагословена ты в женах,и благословен плод чрева твоего,яко Спаса родила еси душ наших

Rejoice, O Virgin Theotokos, Mary full of grace, the Lord is with TheeBlessed art Thou among women, and blessed is the fruit of Thy womb, for Thou hast borne the Savior of our souls

And when they came to BethlehemWhere our dear Saviour lay,They found Him in a manger,Where oxen feed on hay;His Mother Mary kneeling down,Unto the Lord did prayO tidings of comfort and joy,Comfort and joy,O tidings of comfort and joy

Now to the Lord sing praises,All you within this place,And with true love and brotherhoodEach other now embrace; This holy tide of ChristmasAll other doth effaceO tidings of comfort and joy,Comfort and joyO tidings of comfort and joy

Happy Holidays!

Господи Иисусе Христе, Сыне Божий, помилуй мя грешного

Lord Jesus Christ, Son of God, have mercy on me, the sinner

The First Nowell

The first Nowell the angels did sayWas to certain poor shepherds in fields as they lay;In fields where they lay keeping their sheep,On a cold winter’s night that was so deep:Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,Born is the King of Israel

They looked up and saw a star,Shining in the east beyond them far:And to the earth it gave great light,And so it continued both day and night:Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,Born is the King of Israel

And by the light of that same star,Three Wise Men came from country far:To seek for a King was their intent, And to follow the star wheresoever it went:Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,Born is the King of Israel

Then entered in those Wise Men three,Fell reverently upon their knee,And offered there in his presence,Their gold and myrrh and frankincense:Nowell, Nowell, Nowell, Nowell,Born is the King of Israel

The Twelve Days of Christmas

Joy to the world, the Lord is come; let earth receive her King

Let ev’ry heart prepare Him room, and heav’n and nature sing, and heav’n and nature sing,

and heav’n, and heaven and nature sing

’Tis the season to be jollyFa la la la la la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparelFa la la la la la la la la.

Toll the ancient yuletide carolFa la la la la la la la la.

Deck the hall with boughs of hollyFa la la la la la la la la.

’Tis the season to be jollyFa la la la la la la la la.

Don we now our gay apparelFa la la la la la la la la.

Toll the ancient yuletide carolFa la la la la la la la la.

God rest ye merry, gentlemen;let nothing you dismay

Remember, Christ our Saviourwas born on Christmas day

to save us all from Satan’s pow’rwhen we were gone astray

Oh, tidings of comfort and joy, comfort and joy

Oh, tidings of comfort and joy

Hark! the herald angels sing,“Glory to the newborn King;

peace on earth, and mercy mild,God and sinners reconciled!”

Joyful, all ye nations rise, join the triumph of the skies;with angelic hosts proclaim,

“Christ is born in Bethlehem!”Hark! the herald angels sing,“Glory to the newborn King”

Silent night, holy night, all is calm, all is bright

’round yon Virgin mother and childHoly infant so tender and mild,

sleep in heavenly peace, sleep in heavenly peace

Dashing through the snow in a one-horse, open sleigh,o’er the fields we go laughing all the way: “Ha, ha, ha!”

Bells on bobtail ring, making spirits bright;what fun it is to ride and sing a sleighing song tonight

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way;oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse, open sleigh, hey!

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way;oh, what fun it is to ride in a one-horse, open sleigh

Glory to God; Glory in the highest!Oh, come let us adore HimOh, come let us adore HimOh, come let us adore Him,

Christ the Lord
