Your favorite Caribbean dishes are coming to FIU. Our Island concept is inspired by everyone who loves Caribbean food. Weput all your favorite dishes, small bites and sweet delights in one place, so that you can enjoy an authentic and mouthwateringtaste of the Caribbean islands.

For those of you craving a taste of home, no need to fly to the islands or have mommy bring you a home cooked meal.

Savor the flavor of our island soups and desserts, tropical juices, Jamaican patties and Bahamian conch fritters. Enjoy our hotentrees and weekly specials: Jerk Chicken, Oxtail, Trinidadian Curry Chicken, Haitian Griot with Pikliz and West Indian Roti. Inaddition, there will be authentic island holiday specials to help you celebrate a taste of the Caribbean.

So, grab your friends, come to the FIU Graham Center and taste our delicious dishes bursting with island flavors.

Latin America and the Caribbean in Florida and throughout the US; they award out-of-state tuition waiversannually to international graduate and undergraduate students from the Caribbean and Mexico to help mitigatethe cost of studying in Florida as an international student.

• FIU has a popular Caribbean Student Association whose mission is to promote the culture of the CaribbeanIslands throughout Florida International University and the surrounding community, and these students long for ataste of home.

Marie Louissaint was born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
