• A play which began as a plot of revenge turned in to a story of betrayal, aiming to downplay the character of Gerttude and Ophelia. Ophelia is a sweet and innocent girl, who obey her father and her brother, Laertes , Depend on men to tell her how to behave, she gives in to Polonius's schemes to spy on hamlet. Even in her lapse into madness and death, she remain maidenly, singing songs about flower and finally drowning in the river amid the flower garlands she had gathered. Gerttude loves hamlet deeply, and married to claudies. And at the and of the she dies by poison.
