Organized by: - District Disaster Management Authority (DDMA), Hamirpur.
Three days “Comprehensive Capacity Building Programme on Basic Disaster
Management” was organized for Police Department, Home Guard and Civil Defense, Red
Cross, NYK, NSS and NCC from 03rd October, 2016 to 05th October, 2016 at Block
Development Office, Conference Hall, Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh.
Aim of this Programme to provide conceptual understanding of Disaster Management
with hands on exercise on Earthquake Safety, Fire Safety, Search and Rescue operations,
First Aid Operations.
The Resource Persons for the Training were: -
Ms. Samiksha Sharma, Training and Capacity Building Coordinator, Disaster
Management Cell, DDMA, Hamirpur.

Basic of First Aid under Disaster Response.
First Aid if the victim has been caught and got some injuries on his/her body then
what are the principles, duties of a first aider and how to provide first aid to
himself or herself was covered by the team of doctors with practical CPR.
Transport of Victims most important part of any response operation is the safe
transportation of the victim to the hospital and the same was taught in the
training with practical by the team of expert of disaster managers and doctors.
Fire Fighting Basics under Disaster Response.
Fire Fighting Equipment’s shown and provided information about Fire Fighting
Equipment’s.
Search and Rescue include that somebody has been trapped in building or any
other danger zone then how to rescue himself/herself was focused in training.
