‘In the period 2006-07 to 2012-13 manufacturing employment in Wales fell by over 40,000 from around

180,000 to a little under 140,000. Few elements within Welsh manufacturing are expected to see

consistent growth of employment and output in the period 2014-2020 [3]’

The UK CS average gross salary is > £53,000. Gross Value Added per employee across the UK was over

£86,000 in 2013. This is greater than twice the Welsh average on both measures…..
