According to EPA, Americansgenerate more than 251 milliontons of MSW* annually – the equiv-alent of 4.6 pounds of waste perperson/per day based on 2006population estimates. Of the vari-ous MSW strategies available,source reduction clearly has thegreatest long-term potential forlowering America’s waste burden.

Source reduction involves alter-ing the design, manufacture, oruse of products to reduce the totalvolume of discarded material. It isoften viewed by scientists and offi-cials as more compelling thanrecycling, since it is the only strat-egy synonymous with preventingwaste, rather than managing it once it’s created. Source reduction is a guiding principle forCamfil Farr Green Filter technology.

Filters that have a longer servicelife require less frequent change-out, directly lowering labor cost,disposal cost, and dunnage.Camfil Farr 5-Star premium filterslast 50-100% longer than economyproducts.
