Completed Lifebuoy SystemInnovation for Boating Safety

Page 2: Completed Lifebuoy System - Inshore Safety

Principle: CLS was developed as „on board” and „on ground” equipment as well.

As „on board” safety equipment, it was developed for recreational boats that operates on sheltered and coastal waters, however advantages of CLS can be revealed on open waters and on commercial boats as well.

As „on ground” equipment, use of CLS strongly offered at poolside, beaches and harbors.

Page 3: Completed Lifebuoy System - Inshore Safety

Theory 1: Recreational boating on sheltered waters

This theory says that a recreational boat on sheltered or coastal waters generally has only one trained person on the board. He/she is the skipper. Others are just incompetent guests (family, friends, workmates), not trained crews. An emergency case (e.g. MOB) needs coordinated work of 2-3 people at least. This means that skipper needs to involve untrained outsiders into the rescue process. This can delay or stall the rescue. That’s why rescue equipment has to be improved in order to enable untrained people to provide useful aid even in stressful situations.

Rescue from the shore

Rescue from the shore (on ports, beaches, swimming pools) also can be taken place by untrained people. They should also use equipment that easy to use even without routine.

Theory 2:

Conventional equipment

Ring buoy

Horseshoe buoy

Buoyant cushion

Throwline

Parts:Parts:

• Practice needs to use• Preparation needs to use• Slow operational process• Slow repeated throws

Drawbacks: • Difficult to grab, no comfortable grip• Short throwing distance• Low throwing accuracy• Difficult to occupy safe position for

the victim

Main parts:Plastic handle with rope holder and V-cleats

Floating rescue line with carabiners

Load transfer sling with sling eye, sewn handle, plastic insert, holder pockets and Velcro

Any type of throwable rescue device (type IV PFD)

What is CLS?

together in one system

Definition: Completed Lifebuoy System is a system of safety equipment, in which the components work in synergy in order to eliminate drawbacks of conventional safety equipment. The system can be operated fast and easily that makes it adequate for untrained people as well.

Parts:

V-cleat

Line deflector

Center bore

• Ergonomic shaped• Plastic injected• Material: Polyethylene• Floating in water• Vivid colors

Rope holders

Parts:

• 15m length, dia. 7mm• Hollow braided floating line• Material: Polyethylene• Bright colored

Features:

Throw Line

Carabiner

• Alu carabiners• PE foam makes carabiners

floating

Page 8: Completed Lifebuoy System - Inshore Safety

Set-up:

• Can be used as independent rescue device• The line can be coiled easily (in figure 8 shape)• Tangle-proof store of the throwline• The handle can be easily thrown to the victim

Advantages:

Plastic handle + Throw line = Rescue Line Set

Plastic handle

Floating line

• Throwline always can run freely• Easy to spot the floating handle• Easy to grab the floating handle• Safety line can be attach easily with

carabiner

Types:

Throwable device (type IV PFD)

Ring buoy Horseshoe buoy Buoyant cushion

• Difficult to grab, no comfortable grip• Short throwing distance• Low throwing accuracy• Difficult to occupy safe position for the victim

Drawbacks:

We do not plan to manufacture it. If necessary, we obtain from the market the type that meets the requirements of the respective country.

Load Transfer Sling

Parts:

• Strong fabric material• Reinforced with straps• UV and weather resistant Velcro• Plastic insert in hidden pocket (only for horseshoe buoy)

Features:

Applicating Velcro

Sling eye

Sewn handle

Handle holder pockets

Handle fixing Velcro

Plastic insert (only at horseshoe)

Page 11: Completed Lifebuoy System - Inshore Safety

Throwable device + Load transfer sling = Floating unit

Set-up:

Advantages: • Load Transfer Sling is easy to apply to throwable device• Sling eye gives an obvious attaching point to the rescue line• Due to the sewn handle, it is much easier to grab and throw the PFD• Increased throwing distance and aiming accuracy• Changed direction of use makes PFD safer to use (only at horseshoe)

Page 12: Completed Lifebuoy System - Inshore Safety

Rescue line set + Floating unit = CLS

Ring buoy Horseshoe buoy Buoyant cushion

• PFD and rescue line always stored together• No need preparation, CLS always ready to use• Quick repeated throws (in case of failed throw)• Lower stress level of rescuer person

Lifesaving is always a hot topic in the media, therefore the advertising and selling of the product becomes easier.

CLS is a brand new innovation that has no competitors on the market. There are no products that could give such a complex solution to water rescue situations..

With patent protection we can assure you that there will no cheap, low quality copies on the market that could harm your business

CLS is a useful and valuable product and its target customers are ready to pay for it. A great margin could provide greater revenue for your company.

This product is a supplementary equipment for already existing rescue devices. It won’t cannibalize the selling of your stock items – it will increase them.

We can customize the design elements of the product, such as color or logo, so you can sell CLS as your own branded merchandise.

Inshore Safety Ltd.

Company: The Inshore Safety Ltd. was created in 2019 with the aim of creating a new water safety product group especially for the crews of pleasure crafts that operates on coastal or inland waters. We break up with the generally accepted idea that boating in sheltered waters is much less dangerous than in open waters. We say, that is not less dangerous, it is differently dangerous. Other threats and challenges can come up on sheltered waters and we want to answer all these challenges with our products. The base of the product group is a set of patented inventions that come from Laszlo Mucsi, who is the founder of Inshore Safety. The first element of the group is the CLS, which we plan to sell worldwide through an international distributor network.
