Department of Dentistry, is organizing a 7 day Denture Camp for

completely edentulous geriatric patients from 15th

to 22th

Jan, 2018. Registration

will be limited to 50 patients on first come first basis.

Edentulism is the condition of being toothless to at least some degree as a

result of tooth loss. Loss of some teeth results in partial edentulism, whereas loss

of all teeth results in complete edentulism.

Functionality of teeth is very important. They, serve to:

Cut, grind, and chew food which aids in overall nutrition & health

maintenance

Support lips and cheeks, providing for a fuller, more aesthetically pleasing

appearance

Allow for the proper pronunciation of various sounds

For overall psychological well being

Complete denture fabrication requires multiple patient sittings and a precise

coordination between clinical and laboratory staff. The registered elderly patients

will be provided with the fabricated dentures within a duration of 2-3 months.
