Even before I’m fond of saying “I’m so excited to work someday, and get paid for doing

something I want” and my mom wold say “!on’t grow p too fast, one day yo’ll regret saying

that”" I #st ignored her statement bt now I’m starting to think that my mom was right I regret

saying that becase now I know that when that time comes, I will have to pay my own taxes,

give a portion of my salary to the government and that doesn’t sond good"

are too high, we have a poor tax administration, the tax system is nfair, and the like" $ost

people think, inclding me, that the money collected by the government in the form of taxes is a

Since elementary, my teachers keep on saying that taxes are bloodline of

every government. My ideas about tax is only limited to that statement and I think

that it is already enough. verytime my previous teachers discussed about tax, I

took it for granted. I didn!t kno" ho" important it "as but things change "hen I

already enter the #SA program and the ama$ing part is that tax is considered as

one of my ma%or sub%ects.

At &rst, having tax sub%ect is a burden for me because of its complicatedness

and so many rules to memori$e but as time passes, I reali$ed that it!s all "orth it

eventhough it!s really hard and complicated 'no %oke guys(. )o", I can feel that I

have already a right to react "henever my parents "ill talk about taxes. If I "ill

hear "rong ideas or perception about tax, I tend to correct them but in a good "ay

also. *here are also instances that I "ill share my ideas or ne" learnings in tax to

my brothers and sisters. #ecause of this sub%ect also, I already kno" the ans"er

"hy some of my uncle doesn!t pay taxes or they don!t need to go to the #IR

After one semester studying tax, I reali$ed that our tax system is really,
