• Participants are free to submit multiple entries but each entry needs to be registered separately.

• Alongside individual entries, team entries are also allowed. A team can have a maximum of �ve participants. Interdisciplinary teams are also welcome to join. But it is mandatory to have min. 1 Architecture student in the team.

• Registration is compulsory to participate.

• The entries will be a property of the organizers and will not be returned to the participants.

• The jury will be announced on 8th January on event website.

• The decision of the jury will be �nal and abiding to all participants.

• A Registration number will be provided to teams/participant at the time of registration which need to be included in the sheet. No other information related to identity should be there.

The walled city of Jaipur, known for its iconic architectural legacy and vibrant culture, made its entry into the UNESCO World Heritage Site list in 2019. Therefore, the tourism of the city has increased by 12% in foreign and 15% in domestic tourists.

Jaipur Railway Station is itself a prominent and renowned station from tourist point of view.

Railway Administration wishes to develop façade of Jaipur Main Station Building in conformity with the Architectural View of the Heritage City along with landscaping of the circulating area.

Opportunity

With a view to develop and to give local architectural outlook to Façade of Main Jaipur Railway Station Building; CODE, Vivekananda Global University in collaboration with O�ce of Divisional Railway Manager calls for design concepts. Vivekananda Global University to conduct an open competition amongst students of architecture of various colleges of Rajasthan to gain best and innovative architectural ideas to develop façade in local color scheme and heritage look of the city.

Can we rethink the façade keeping in mind walled city but using new age materials, lighting and techniques??

Challenge

Participants should understand inter relationship between closed, open and semi-open spaces and the connectivity of multiple spaces.

We encourage participants who understand building by-laws respective to the design project location.

Energy Saving and Sustainability should be given a thought, keeping in mind it’s IGBC Green building certification.

Participants should consider a�ordability and optimum use of space while designing.

The proposal should be iconic, inviting and creating a statement of its own on the site. The proposed design should have contact between human and nature.

SubmissionThe entrants must complete online registrations and the submission must include, (but are not limited to) the following required drawings. All drawings can be schematic.

• Plans to show spatial arrangements and program.• Elevations demonstrating qualities such as material, texture and color.• Large Scale Drawings that illustrate innovative details or integrated aspects of design.• Three Dimensions representations explaining the design, perspectives and montages which display the

character of the project.• All drawings should be presented at a scale appropriate for the design solution and include a graphic

scale for reference.
