The competitions are the heart of the Games, with competitors travelling from all over New Zealand and Australia to take part. In total over 350 people took part in the competitions at this year’s Games.

The Hororata Community Trust and Hororata Highland Games Committee take pride in offering quality competitions which are true to all the Scottish traditions. We are truly grateful to all those who gave their expertise to ensure the competitions are executed to the highest level.

The Games offer a wonderful festival atmosphere with a fairground, over 70 market stalls and many unique activities for people to participate in. All these areas take a massive effort to bring to fruition, and it is the team of volunteers that allows the event to offer so much variety. It is the dedication and passion of the volunteers that makes the event a success; thank you to every single one of you!

To all our partners and funders: thank you for your support! You allow us to think big, which leads to the Games reaching new heights each year.

The feedback from visitors and competitors has been truly humbling. We appreciate the wide support that the Games receive in the community. We look forward to seeing you back for our fifth birthday on Saturday 7th November 2015!
