All athletes should leave around this time to make it to Atlanta by the meet time. If a parent cannot make it until after work/later in the day, please make sure arrangements are made to have your child ride with another family and that hotel check-in arrangements are made PRIOR to Friday.

4:00 pm’ish Arrive Hotel / check in / Grab a quick snack or meal before you leave for the GWCC 6:00 pm Depart hotel for team practice at the GWCC. Atlanta traffic on Friday afternoons will be heavy.

Give yourself enough time to make it to the GWCC. All cheerleaders must be in BLACK ACE TOP / RED ACE PRACTICE SHORTS / GOLD BOW

COMPETITION MEMO Program Shirts - All athletes must have BOTH the RED and BLACK program shirts. All athletes

must wear their program shirt over their uniform at the convention center. o SATURDAY: RED program; SUNDAY: BLACK program shirt.

General Admission: $20 cash only Admission fee per day. Children 10 and under admitted free.

Parking: The RED Parking Lot is SOLD OUT. PLEASE PLAN YOUR TIME TO ADD THE ADDITIONAL 15-20 MINUTE WALK TO THE GWCC FROM OTHER PARKING LOTS.

Veteran Cheersport Tips: Purchase tickets Friday night for the weekend and attend Friday night events FREE / Map out the event to have a smooth weekend / Wear good walking shoes

Doors Open: Doors to the competition on Saturday will open at 6:00AM with the competition beginning at 8:00AM. Doors to the competition on Sunday will open at 6:00AM with the competition beginning at 8:00AM.

Sessions for your athlete - Every athlete that isn’t in warm up or performing should be up front cheering for other ACE teams. Please take a look at the schedule AND which arena you need to make it to. Plan your day carefully.

Is there a parent/fan area - There is a parent fan area where parents and fans can get an “up close” view of routines. You are highly encouraged to pack it out and make it loud! Parents, if available, please wear ACE shirts or wear Red/Black/Yellow…let’s show our colors to support ACE teams!!!!

Sign Out – You are required to sign your athlete out with your team rep. Please remember to meet your team rep after your awards.

Parking - Parking is available for a fee all around the GWCC. There is a pre-pay option available and is HIGHLY recommended - http://www.gwcc.com/directions/Default.aspx This is the largest cheerleading competition in the world and parking fills up VERY quickly. Even with pre-paying for parking, you may have a LONG walk if you don’t make it to one of the close lots. Try for the RED lot, but it’ll fill quickly so plan accordingly.

Video Cameras - Parents ARE NOT allowed to video routines. However, SEVideo will have videos available for purchase.

Photographer - LARGE personal cameras are not allowed in the GWCC. Small cameras and cell phone cameras are allowed. Universal Event Photography will be available to purchase photos.

Acceptable Outerwear - You are required to wear your warm-up at all times (if you purchased one) You will give your warmup to your parents when we leave to go to warm-ups or put them in your backpack. You must still have your program shirt on when we go to warmups. You’ll give them to your team rep once we start warmup.

o If you did not order warmups (try to match teams): Black Athletic Pants: Small or No logo only (No PINK or JUICY type large logos) ACE Color Athletic Top: Any ACE hoodie or an ACE color (Black/Red/Yellow)

Plan your weekend: CHEERSPORT Nationals is the largest cheerleading and dance championship in the World; therefore it takes a huge complex to house it. Please take a look at the maps and plan your parking and schedules carefully. The Georgia World Congress Center (GWCC) is made up of 3 buildings (Buildings A, B & C) with multiple levels. Level 1, being the bottom floor and Level 4 being the top floor. Admissions is on Level 4. In Building B on Level 1 you will find the 5 Cheer Competition Arenas. In Building C on Level 3 is the Dance Arena, located in the Georgia Ballroom. It is a GREAT idea to come by Friday night and purchase your admission tickets for the weekend. Lines tend to be long Saturday & Sunday morning. Friday evening is FREE. Take the time to purchase your admission tickets and walk the facility to find your competition Arenas.

Attendees traveling from the North are encouraged to take the following alternate inbound route:

Traveling from the North - I-75/85 Southbound Connector- Vehicles traveling Southbound on the I-75/85 connector will be directed via Variable Message Board to exit at North Ave. (Exit 249D). Turn right onto North Ave. Travel North Ave. to Northside Dr. A Variable Message Board will be positioned at that intersection directing vehicles to make a left turn onto Northside Dr. Yellow and Blue Lot parking will be on the right and left on Northside Dr. For Red Deck Parking continue straight and turn left on Georgia Dome Dr. Turn left on to Magnum St. and turn right into the Red Parking Deck.

Traveling from the East and West - I-20 – From I-20 exit on to the Windsor Street/Spring Street exit (Exit 56B). Take Spring Street and turn Left on Mitchell Street. Take Mitchell Street to Mangum Street and turn right on Mangum Street. Continue straight to the Red Deck. The entrance will be on the right.

Across the street at the Philips Arena, there will be several circus performances Saturday and Sunday at 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. TRAFFIC IN THE GWCC AREA WILL BE VERY CONGESTED. PLAN EXTRA TIME TO MAKE IT TO YOUR MEET TIME.
