MESOPOTAMIA TOWN PLANNING • Built around distinct palaces
&temples that were dedicated to patron gods/ goddesses.
• Most of the people lived in cities & towns.
• They had walls to protect their cities.
INDUS VALLEY TOWN PLANNING • They were built to east of
citadel.• Towns were planned more
systematically & in grid pattern
• The people lived in small villages.
• They had wall to protect their houses

were very peaceful compared to Mesopotamians, so the weapons used were, mainly for agriculture.

• Houses were made of sundried bricks in both• In both civilizations arrow was used and tools were
made commonly of Bronze.• Economy depended mostly on agriculture & trade.• Also traded with each other & had Boats .• Both grew barley, wheat , dates , figs , peas.• Prayers , rituals, pottery were common in both• Irrigation system , writing system, wheeled vehicles
were used by both .• They both had religious hymns for ceremonies
