Established in 1973, the Group now counts 26 companies operating in 7 Italian regions. We bring paper back to life is its philosophy. STORIAHISTORY

1973 19871984 1985La prima azienda del Gruppo, fondata da Bruno Zago nel 1973, è

Trevikart S.r.l. che a tutt’oggi annovera tra i suoi clienti i gruppi industriali più importanti del Triveneto.

Nel 1987 sorge Unioncart S.r.l., specializzata nella produzione di scatole fustellate in cartone ondulato, di qualsiasi dimensione e a più colori.

Nel 1984 nasce Ondulato Trevigiano S.r.l., uno dei primi ondulatori in tutto il Veneto dedicato alla fabbricazione dei fogli di cartone ondulato. Si distingue da subito per l’ottima qualità e robustezza del suo prodotto, utilizzato maggiormente per la produzione di imballaggi industriali.

L’anno successivo vede la costituzione di Plurionda S.p.A., a Zero Branco, sempre nel trevigiano. Inizia la sua attività nel Novembre 1988 e si occupa della produzione di cartone speciale, microonda e microtriplo. Nell’anno 2005 Plurionda espande ulteriormente il suo operato, dando avvio alla produzione di cartoncino con ONDA N con lo spessore di 0,7 mm.

1992 19981988 1996Cuboxal (oggi divisione di Trevikart) entra a far parte della holding della famiglia Zago nel 1992. Specializzata nella produzione e nella commercializzazione di scatole per la pizza di alto livello con export in tutto il mondo, è oggi leader europeo del settore.

Nel 1998 Pro-Gest si espande ulteriormente comprando contestualmente sia la cartiera di Tolentino S.r.l. che quella di San Giuliano S.r.l.. Quest’ultima, ormai

poco dopo, mentre Tolentino fu sottoposta a rimodernamento e riorganizzazione per adattarla agli standard ed alle esigenze del mercato europeo.

In 1998, Pro-Gest Group further expanded by purchasing the paper mills of Tolentino S.r.l. and San Giuliano S.r.l., the latter, at the end of its competitive life, was idled soon after, whereas Tolentino underwent refurbishment and restructuring to

the European market.

Cuboxal (today a division of Trevikart) became part of the Zago family’s holding company in 1992. Its focus is producing

Nel 1996 il Gruppo acquisisce Cartiera di Carbonera S.p.A.. Forte dell’espe-rienza acquisita attraverso Cartitalia, il Gruppo sente il bisogno di incremen-tare la produzione della materia prima per i suoi ondulatori e per la vendita sul mercato. Attraverso importanti investimenti, questa cartiera produce oggi carta per ondulatori, prevalen-temente da copertina, bianca e avana di alta qualità e carta Tissue per uso domestico. È riconosciuta tra i primi produttori in Europa, per la qualità dei suoi prodotti.

In 1988, the Group purchased at a public auction Cartitalia S.r.l., a former recycled paper manufacturer. Reopened after years of inactivity, Cartitalia obtained excellent results

This allowed Pro-Gest to vertically integrate its production cycle from the end of the chain upwards, starting from packaging, to corrugated cardboard and

containerboard.

In 1996, thanks to the positive experience

decided to add Cartiera di Carbonera S.p.A., another paper factory to its assets. The Group felt that it was necessary to increase the production of containerboard for internal use, and also in order to strengthen its presence in the market. Today, thanks to substantial investments, this factory produces on two paper

liners and virgin based tissue paper for domestic use. Cartiera di Carbonera is

the grades it produces.

2004 2005 2007 2009Con Bergapack S.r.l., acquisita nel 2004, il Gruppo diventa sempre più protagonista nel settore della produzione di particolari imballaggi in cartone ondulato. Questa azienda, infatti, è specializzata negli imballaggi pesanti da esterno.

Nel 2005 la famiglia Zago rileva un impianto storico e prestigioso per la produzione di carta, la Cartiere Villa Lagarina S.p.A., in provincia di Trento. L’azienda si trova in posizione strategica, alle porte del

Il Gruppo investe 130 milioni di euro su Cartiere Villa Lagarina S.p.A. per costruire un nuovo impianto, la BM2, unico in tutto il territorio nazionale che produce carta da imballaggio riciclata avana con grammature leggere a partire da 75 g/mq ed alte resistenze. Nasce Trevikart #Greendesign, azienda Concept del Gruppo Pro-Gest specializzata in soluzioni cartotecniche di packaging, arredi ed allestimenti, che realizza i primi

Since the acquisition of Bergapack S.r.l. in 2004, the Group plays a leading role in the production of corrugated cardboard packaging. This company, in fact, specializes in heavy-duty packaging for outdoor use.

In 2005, the Zago family took over a historical and prestigious paper mill, the Cartiere Villa Lagarina S.p.A., in the province of Trento. The company is strategically located at the gateway to Central Europe, an ideal location for export.

In 2007 the Group invested 130 million euros in the Cartiere Villa Lagarina S.p.A. plant to build a new paper machine, BM2, the only one of its kind in Italy. This factory now manufactures lightweight recycled containerboard for

These latest acquisitions pursue the strategic objective of further expanding the vertical integration of the Group in Italy.

Cuboxal has a new house. The company moves a few kilometers away in a brand new building, more than three times larger than before, it has 25.000 covered square meters on a 45.000 square meters land. The production lines are entirely automated and the brand becomes more and more the leading pizza box of Europe.

In September Pro-Gest leases from the tribunal court after a default two plants with long history in Tuscany. They are Ondulati Giusti S.p.A. (today Pro-Gest AltopascioFiorentino S.p.A. (today Pro-Gest Sesto Fiorentinolargest corrugated board sheet feeding plant of Italy serving independent box plants, the second is a very strategic plant working on a niche market of sheets and cases made of triple wall corrugated board.

2015Pro-Gest continua a crescere. Trevikart acquisisce due nuovi impianti dal gruppo Mauro Benedetti situati a Modugno, vicino a Bari, e Carnate presso Milano. annuncia l’acquisizione della Cartiera di Mantova, nel cuore del nord Italia. Questa cartiera, nata nel

Pro-Gest keeps growing. Trevikart takes over two integrated plants from Mauro Benedetti group based in Modugno in southern Italy and Carnate, near Milan. These plants are strategically important for the Group to further expand in the food industry of the south, and the industrial area of Milan. In June the leading paper mill Cartiere Villa Lagarina acquires the idled mill of Mantova in the heart of northern Italy. This paper mill, established in 1905, has produced newsprint until closure in 2013. Pro-Gest aims to install a brand new state-of-the-art containerboard paper-machine which will be Italy’s widest paper machine in the industry with cutting-edge technology.

The Group publicly announced the Mantua plant 300-million-euro investment. The dismantlement of the old on-site machinery starts in March in order to fully renovate the plant on the site where Pro-Gest Mantova will start operating as the largest Italian paper mill for containerboard. At the same time the Group acquires the company formerly known as Levio Loris located in Badia Polesine (Rovigo), now Badia Recycling, a plant specialized in waste collection and recycling. Thanks to this purchase, Pro-Gest strengthens considerably its vertical integration, in particular the upper stream of paper for recycling collection, the main raw material used by the Group in the following steps of the production. This new plant works alongside with Carbonera Waste Paper, located in Istrana (Treviso) and active since 2014. In May the Group completes the acquisition of its Tuscan operations,

Fiorentino, previously leased since 2014, thus guaranteeing continuity of both production and workforce.

In 2017 Pro-Gest begins a phase dedicated to the upgrading of its plants. Cartiera di Carbonera, thanks to a revamping of one of the machines, is strengthened to improve product performance and increase production capacity; while the Tolentino and Cartitalia paper mills invest in new cogeneration plants. New contacts are established with important international players in the recycling paper sector, necessary for the procurement of this raw material for the Group’s mills. A business partnership is established between Pro-Gest and AMG Packaging srl, located in Marrakech in Morocco, a strategic area to develop important commercial contacts in the commercial and agri-food sectors,

Il ciclo produttivo Pro-Gest comincia all’interno delle piattaforme di selezione dove ogni anno vengono raccolte 1.5 milioni di tonnellate di carta da riciclare proveniente dalla raccolta differenziata destinate ad essere riciclate.

La carta, il cartone e il cartoncino vengono sottoposti a dei procedimenti di selezione nelle piattaforme. Questo è necessario in quanto nella raccolta differenziata, seppur fondamentale nel processo di riciclo, sfuggono e sono ancora presenti delle impurità come plastica, elementi metallici, altri materiali, inavvertitamente gettati sia dall’utente pubblico che privato.
