Mr. Gerald O’ Connell

Chairman

• A former Chief Officer of one of UK’s largest police force, Gerald is an expert in security

and intelligence management.

• He is a Post-Graduate in Criminology & Forensic Sciences from Cambridge University.

• He worked in 3 major British police forces, in various ranks, during his 35 years police

service and then reached the most senior ranks – Chief Officer of Police - in one of the

UK's largest police forces. He has worked all over the world with police forces including

London's Metropolitan Police (UK), Washington DC (USA), Melbourne (Australia),

Rotterdam (Netherlands), Jamaica and Mauritius.

• He is also an expert on the development of the Private Security Industry and its potential

to link with mainstream policing.

Captain Ravee

Managing Director

• Capt.Ravee has served for one of the most prestigious Regiments of Indian Army, 11

Gorkha Regiment from 1990 – 1995.

• He had the opportunity to work in the private sector security segment Best Western

Surya, Maurya Sheraton, Ericsson and British Gas.

• Capt. Ravee was chosen as one of the Security Members for the Atlanta Olympics in 1996.

• He was the founder (past) Secretary General of Central Association of Private Security

Industry & Association of Private Detectives of India (APDI).

• He has introduced Security Education in India at International Standards for the first time

in the country. Ravee is also the Managing Director of Fireball Group of Companies.

Ms. Vibha Ravee

President

• Graduated from the Delhi University, did her Post Graduation in Journalism and Political

Science and entered into the wide field of education after qualifying as Bachelor of

Education.

• Ms. Vibha is responsible for the HRD training imparting soft skills to hundreds of youth in

the country to help them stand in the society with dignity and pride.

• She is a rich blend of experience related to Security Education, Public Relations, effective

handling of manpower and administration. Her vast knowledge of the subject and strong

commitments to the organization has helped her and the team, manger the HR aspects

Director

• Ms. Priyanka is a MBA in International Marketing & Management. She has been with theteam since its inception.

• Her valuable contribution has helped OSSIM to have a Quality Procedures and Processes in

place.

within the industry. She has been associated in designing, planning and executing of

• Group Captain Onkar Singh M.Sc., Psc, Alumnus of Defence Services Staff College

• A Security Management Trainer and professional of long standing. He is the Senior

Security Faculty and is part of Think Tank of OSSIM.

• He is a qualified GTO. Gp. Capt. Onkar Singh has vast experience of Operations and

Col. (Retd.) K C Goswami, Security Professional

Guest Faculty

•

Col KC Goswami is the alumni of National Defense Academy (1962 batch), an institution atpar with Sandhurst (UK) and West Point (USA).

• He served with the Elite Special Forces i.e. the Parachute Commando Regiment for 14

years. He was instructor at the Counter Insurgency & Jungle Warfare School of Indian

Army from 1970-1972.

• In 1983 he was posted to start a counter terrorism school for the Armed Forces. As a

Colonel, in 1986, he was picked-up and placed as the Chief Operational Trainer of The

National Security Guard, also known as Black Cat Commandos, India’s Premier Counter

and Anti Terrorist Combat Force.

• He holds over sixteen years of experience in Combating insurgencies and terrorism in

various theatres in India.He is now a Consultant & Security Auditor and extending hisexperience to various Corporate & International Agencies.

Mr. T S Tanwar

• Mr. Tej Singh Tanwar is M.A. in English Literature and Public Administration, PG Diploma

in Personnel Management and Diploma in Training & Development, University of Slough,

U.K. Mr. Tanwar is Former Assistant Director, Intelligence Bureau, Personnel Management

and Diploma in Training & Development, University of Slough, U.K. Mr. Tanwar is Former

Assistant Director, Intelligence Bureau, MHA, Govt of India.

• He was awarded Indian Police Medal for meritorious service. Ex-Chief of Internal Security

and Director, External Investigations, Group 4 Securicor. Presently working as Country

Head Investigations and Training, BCL, Secure Premises.

Col. Anil Budhiraja

Part –Time Faculty (Private Security)

• He had a highly distinguished career in the Indian Army, has served at senior management

levels and has contributed his experience in strategic planning, operational security

management and personnel management through positions of responsibility and consulting

assignments with various international organizations like the IFRCS and the American Red

Cross.

• His area of expertise is Strategic Planning and Development, Operational Research,

Capacity Building, HRD/Personnel, Logistics, Budgeting, Monitoring and Evaluation,

Operational Security Management, Crisis Management and Resource Mobilization.

• His responsibilities have involved liaison with Government officials at all levels. He also had

the opportunity to work directly with senior executives of the world bodies and have been

associated with them. He has also attended international training seminars on

organizational development and capacity planning.

• His diverse experiences over the years have helped his build and apply his inherent skills of

leadership, communication, diplomacy and management with great success.

Col. (Retd) KS GillPart –Time Faculty (Private Security & Management Studies)

• M.Sc., Psc, Alumnus of Defence Services Staff College Wellington. While being in theIndian Army he has vast instructional experience in the Infantry School, training young

Indian and Foreign Officers.

• He has hands on experience in combating insurgency and terrorism in India. He has been

associated with National Cadet Corps as Group Commander, and has been instrumental in

training a large number of youth during this period.

standing,

Mr. Sachin Dhamija

Part - Time Faculty (Soft Skills)• Sachin Dhamija is a Corporate Trainer providing in-depth specialized trainings on hard

Skills and soft skills.

• He is an Engineering Graduate from “School of Aviation Science & Technology” located at

Safdarjung Airport, Delhi. He started his career as a Technical Trainer and soon realized a

need for specialized training (Soft Skills and Behavioral trainings) supplementing his

technical trainings and hence forayed into Soft Skills training specialization.

• Mr. Dhamija worked hand to hand with various departments of leading Companies with a

desire to feel and understand the practical problems faced by employee and employer and

developed, recommended and successfully implemented Management Solutions.

Er. S.S. Rana

• Educated at King George’s School, Bangalore and passed NCC Army/Air certificates,

Qualified Electrical Engineer, M. A. (Eng.), M-Phil (Eng.) with 40 years Techno commercial

and Administrate experience as General Manager and worked for seven years in a security

organization. Guest Lecturer with private institute and Member board of examination &

Recruitment cell for medical staff.

• Trained at Japan & South Korea and Negotiated with Delegates from South Korea, USA

and France. National Level Boxer (Gold) and presently Chief consultant (Training/Projects)

Mr. M.L Kumawat

IPS (Retd) Former DG BSF, Special Secretary, Internal Security, MHA

• Mr. Mahendra Kumawat is a 1972 batch former IPS Officer of Andhra Pradesh Cadre. The

officer is an Internal Security Expert and with his life time experience of dealing with

Naxalism, Terrorist and other Militancy related operations.

• He has contributed tremendously to increasing the Police and CRPF operating efficiency in

the disturbed areas as IGP, Special Security Force ‘Greyhounds’ Andhra Pradesh, an Anti-

Naxalite Commando Force from 1992-94.

• In a futuristic development he had proposed the establishment of National Police

University, which has been approved by the Union Cabinet. He is a multi linguist having

good knowledge of Hindi, Telugu, Urdu, English & FrenchIn recognition of his long

distinguished service he has the following decorations to his credit:- Indian Police Medal

for Meritorious Service -1989; President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service on 26th

January 1997.

• Maj Khosla is a Security professional with 20 years of experience in Security and

Administration. Certified Disaster Management from National Institute of Disaster

• He is a Certified Cyber Investigator and advisor to Nationalised Bank for Security and Fire

Maj Gen (Retd) Vinay Bhatnagar, AVSM, VSM

Corporate Head- Security, IHHR Hospitality (Pvt.) Ltd.

• Maj Gen Vinay Bhatnagar was commissioned in the 5th Gorkha Rifles in December, 1972.

The General Officer retired after 37 years of military service in March,09. During this

period he took part in counter insurgency operations in Manipur, Nagaland, Assam,Tripura, Mizoram, Punjab and J&K. For his distinguished Service he was decorated Five

times at different echelons of command.

• Prior to his retirement he was Head of Indian Troops deployed in UN Missions world-wide.

He is a Graduate of the Defence Services Staff College, College of Defence Management

and the National Defence College.

• He has a Masters Degree in Management. Presently, he is Corporate Head- Security at

IHHR Hospitality (Pvt) Ltd.
