BHJ UK is an international supplier of meat raw materials for the food, pet food, feed and pharmaceutical industries.

With its headquarters in Hull and Grimsby, BHJ UK is a subsidiary of the Danish group BHJ A/S. BHJ UK consists of two business areas:

At BHJ UK Food we supply meat and by-products for human consumption globally. Through our extensive network in the slaughtering industry, we offer a full-service concept from slaughterhouse to end consumer.

We supply a number of specialised business segments and niche markets with high quality edible by-products across the world.

Building on decades of experience and presence in the market, we have become a preferred supplier to customers all over the world.

Rinds and FatsBHJ UK Food is a major player within pork rind procurement, buying fresh rinds from many of the finest approved slaughterhouses in the UK and Europe – the majority being of first-class UK origin. All rinds are sourced under chilled food grade conditions, under strict control by the UK veterinary authorities.

Rind is one of the primary raw materials in the manufacturing process of collagen-based proteins as well as others of the BHJ UK Food refinement activities. As a high-class by-product from these refinement processes, we are able to extract fine edible fats and oils which we market worldwide.

State-of-the-art production facilities BHJ UK Seafood are specialists in the production of fish by-products for the pet food industry.

We have pet food customers who are requiring specialist products for their industry and BHJ UK Seafood are a preferred supplier with great knowledge within quality, logistics and production.

BHJ’s Technical / Quality Department aim to ensure the service the organisation provides is fit for purpose, is consistent and meets both external and internal requirements. This includes legal compliance and customer expectations. BHJ’s Technical Manager coordinates the activities required to meet these quality standards and monitors the performance of the quality management system.

The Technical / Quality Department liaise with other managers and staff throughout the organisation to ensure that the quality management system is functioning properly and where appropriate advise on changes and how to implement them and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve quality standards.

Quality

BHJ Logistics department can provide a flexible and reliable solution to your transport needs. Whether it be one pallet within the UK or a full container to the Far East we will be able to organise this through our database of regularly used and approved hauliers to gain the best and most cost effective solution for you.

With many deliveries being time and temperature sensitive we strive to ensure that all requirements are met and with the ever changing environ-ment of the food industry we are always ready to source transport at short notice for those last minute orders.
