Seismic is Fundamental to Exploration & Production

Analogy – Our modern tools include Ultrasounds, Cat-scans, MRIs.

Drivers: Plunging cost and increasing power of computing – like with modern medical imaging

Well Log Data Well log data provides the industry with a unique and indispensable view into the earth

Well logs record critical borehole data and touch every aspect of exploration and production

Well logs provide essential data about rock properties (“ground- truth”) and provide a framework for interpreting seismic.

An estimated 7.5 million well logs exist worldwide. A large percentage remain in non-digital formats.

Well log data is critical (along with seismic) for successful exploration of hydrocarbons.

TGS provides both types of data through bundles or derivative products to provide more value to customers.
