INTRODUCTION S. ORLIK (Pty) Ltd was established by Struan Orlik in early 2000.

The main line of services incorporates the know how and required expertise to complete any project on a turnkey basis. The expertise includes over fifteen years of plant installations for the chemical industry including automotive production, plating lines and chemical development. The expertise would also include process improvements and process flow.

Today we are challenged with many variables related to the pressures of business and to find the right people who will supply the turnkey solution reliability with high levels of skills and service.

Automatic control systems designed to regulate the processes without direct human intervention. Systems consist basically of the following:

• Sensors, which measure some physical state such as temperature or liquid level. • Controllers, which may be from simple physical components up to complex special

purpose digital controllers or embedded computers. • Actuators, which effect a response to the sensor(s) under the command of the

responder, for example, by controlling an energy input, as e.g. a gas flow to a burner in a heating system or electricity to a motor in a refrigerator or pump.
