Compact Parking concept• Parking of cars require, in addition to the space the

car needs, access roads, which means that conventional parking lots for many cars are big and parking becomes ineffective. The parked vehicle is vulnerable to the elements, vandalism and theft.

• With compact parking we minimize the space a car takes and need for access roads, while the car is fully protected.

• Compact Parking principle is patent pending with patent application No: 2013-G-432802.

Compact Parking is...• Secure The car or its contents can not be stolen or damaged in the parking

garage as there is no access to the car while it is in storage. The car and what it contains is safe in Compact Parking garages.

• Flexible Compact Parking is available to all areas. A 10 m high car park for

192 cars can be 50 m long and 18 m wide or 100 m long and 9 m wide. It can store cars of different heights and even motorcycles provides inexpensive long-term parking. Parking spaces can be used for safe storage of bicycles and motorcycles as well. To reduce building height parking garage can be built partially or completely underground.

Compact Parking is...• Eco-friendly Parking in the building can be preceded by booking space even

before the journey starts. Place reservation, arrival time and changes to the reservation can be made on website or by SMS. A map with driving instructions to the parking garage will be presented. No need to drive around looking for free parking spaces, reducing traffic. Without having a pre-booked parking is fine too if space is available, but you may have to wait a few minutes.

• Cost efficientStoring and rapid retrieval of cars in a simple structure can be done with almost no supervision and with a minimal need for technical maintenance. Minimized footprint of the storage area saves $/m2 expensive urban areal.

How it worksAmazing automated parking, simply drive into gate, leave your car on the waiting platform, step out, register and off it goes to the lower and/or upper storage levels. Swipe an ID card to retrieve your vehicle, within a few minutes, rotated automatically to face outward for easy exit.

How it works...• Parking the car

Arriving at the garage the car enters a “gate” that resembles a car wash. As in a car wash, the car is positioned in the right place on a carrier platform. There is no need to empty the car of valuable items, the car park is theft proof. When everyone leaves the room and the car is registered in the terminal, gates and doors of the room will be closed and locked, after which an automatic crane will lift the carrier and the car into the parking garage.

• Automatic cranesTwo or more cranes will be working in the parking garage. Each crane has two transfer stations . Multiple cranes will increase the capacity.

All mechanics and moving components are above the car and is thus protected against sand, dirt, snow and anything else that the car might bring.

How it works...• Capacity

Two automatic cranes and the control system can handle about 30 cars in and 30 out in an hour. Increase in capacity is achieved with more sections and cranes. It takes 60 to 70 seconds to stow luggage and people in a car and drive out and likewise to drive in the next car and unload from it.

• Retrieval of carTime to retrieve the car is booked when leaving the car. The retrieval time can be booked and /or changed through the parking garage website or by SMS. The system can, depending on workload, suggest another time. The system will immediately start bringing the car to the buffer zone after the retrieval time is booked. Upon arrival at the car park and the correct identification for the car is presented the system will commands the car delivered to a gate. When the car is in place, the doors will open and a sign announces the gate from which the car is to be retrieved.

How it works...• Fees – Invoice

Parking fees and payment methods can be varied to suit each parking building and its users. Registered customers with customer id-number can get an automatic printed invoice weekly or monthly.

• The buildingThe building housing the Compact Parking can be built in many different ways. It can be a simple metal building, a sophisticated facade that may be considered for an architectural prize, a glass facade or among apartments and offices around the parking garage. Compact parking is extremely profitable for underground garages as it only needs a little more than half the volume of a conventional underground garage. The important thing is to calculate for the crane runways and the pits located in transfer points are placed correct.
