Is Your Framing Square Square?

First: To check the accuracy of your square, place it along the straight edge of a board and draw a

perpendicular line.

Second: Now flip the square over and check to see if it lines up with the pencil line you just drew. If not, see

photos below.

Center Punch. Strike the inside corner of the square with a center punch to open up the legs or the outside

corner to close them.
