Community Pop Album “TRIANGLES” by MAHADEV OK /Release 23.11.2018

This is TRIANGLES, a booklet of songs, meetings and trips by singer songwriter Mahadev OK. With

this new avatar for who was once called U or Travis Burki are unveiled pop songs fed with broad

spaces and music blends. Origin? Travels. In the UK, India and eventually the western USA, precisely

Provo, along Salt Lake in Utah where the album was recorded and mixed. Traveller and yogi,

Mahadev stops at each step, keeps the feet on the ground and encounters comes to bring body and

colour to the tracks originally written and composed in India. More than 30 musicians from the

whole world have been involved. Drummers Barak Kram from Israel, Anders Bergstroem from

Sweden, Stacie Fleischer (USA), Emiliano Turi (Italia) share the tracks, Sarod (Indian guitar) with Dara

Okat Godzuki from Bangalore, and laid back guitars by Vincent O’Brien from Manchester … The

whole material patiently organised by producer Brian Zieske (Interstellar, The Addies...)

Original and classic, smashing and peaceful, where do those tracks come from ? We think of Donovan

and George Harrison in “Spiritlessness” or Robert Whyatt in “No Place In The World” with raga flow

and orchestral rap, or infinite space of aerial pop from Mercury Rev in “Diamond Man” ..At last we got

UFO “The Dentist” love song underlined by bossa rhythms with the swiss-french yogi crooner.

Co financed by his own label (SPC) and a crowdfunding which gathered fans from Europe, USA, India

and Australia, Mahadev comes out with a openly 70s album orginal and classic, from which emanates

incredible freedom and serenenity.
