ORDINARY COUNCIL MEETING – WEDNESDAY 19 APRIL 2017
The next Ordinary Council Meeting will be held on Wednesday 19 April 2017 at the Council Chambers, Burrawan Street, Port Macquarie commencing at 5:30pm. Residents are welcome to attend all Council Meetings. Business Papers are available for inspection during office hours at Council Offices and Libraries from Tuesday 18 April 2017. Alternatively, Business Papers are available from pmhc.nsw.gov.au/councilmeetings on Thursday 13 April 2017. Addressing Council Meetings:Residents can address Council on Agenda items or in the Public Forum for items not listed on the Agenda. You must complete the appropriate form to register your request to address Council. All requests to address Council must be received by Council no later than 4:30pm on the day prior to the Council Meeting. ENGAGING AND COMMUNICATING WITh OUR COMMUNITY PROGRAM
As part of its Engaging and Communicating With Our Community Program, Council will be holding a meeting at Lake Cathie on Monday, 8 May 2017 in the Lake Cathie Community Hall. A meet and greet the Councillors afternoon tea will be held at 5.30pm with the meeting to commence at 6.00pm. To lodge your question(s) please visit pmhc.nsw.gov.au/communitymeetings or contact Council on 6581 8111 to obtain the “Question for Engaging and Communicating With Our Community” form. ADOPTION Of DEvELOPMENT CONTROL PLAN PROvISIONS fOR RAINBOW BEACh
On 15 March 2017, Council adopted new DCP 2013 Provisions for Rainbow Beach (located between Lake Cathie and Bonny Hills). The provisions are included in a new Part 5 of Port Macquarie-Hastings Development Control Plan 2013. For this land the provisions support the 2003 Urban Master Plan and Port Macquarie-Hastings Local Environmental Plan 2011, including the changes in Amendment No 36. The new Development Control Plan provisions take effect on Wednesday 12 April 2017. The new provisions replace the provisions previously adopted by reference from Part 5 of Port Macquarie-Hastings Development Control Plan 2011. The DCP can be accessed and downloaded from Council’s website - search for ‘DCPs’. 2017 IRONMAN AUSTRALIA EvENT ROAD CLOSURE NOTIfICATION
As with previous years’ events, there will be a number of temporary road closures throughout the Port Macquarie-Hastings region on Sunday 7th May. The road closures are to allow for the annual IRONMAN Australia + IRONMAN 70.3 triathlon events, and will stretch from Port Macquarie to the Camden Haven. For a full list of road closures, car park and boat ramp closures and timings, please visit ironmanaustralia.com and click on ‘Travel’ followed by ‘Getting Around on Race Day’. Information will also be available on Council’s website, and maps will also be available at Council offices. Residents and businesses on the actual course will receive notification in writing 2 weeks prior to the event. Port Macquarie-Hastings Council is seeking Tender submissions from qualified specialised consultants to prepare a Flood Study, Flood Risk Management Study and Flood Risk Management Plan of numerous unnamed local catchments stemming from the slopes of North Brother Mountain within the Camden Haven area.Full documents are available for interested firms by visiting Council’s tendering web site at tenderlink.com/pmhc/ and by registering and downloading the documents.A Site Meeting will be held at 11.00am Thursday 27 April 2017. Refer RFQ documents for details.Tenders should be submitted in accordance with instructions included in the information documents and deposited in the correct tender box located in the foyer at Council’s Port Macquarie Office, Burrawan Street prior to the closing time and date of the request.
