Lone Butte Casino has been in the midst of a renovation project that will enhance guest's experience at every point including an expanded casino floor, an 8,000 square foot Event Center, brand new dining options and an all new way to enjoy entertainment.

On September 19th, Lone Butte Casino will unveil the new look after months of renovation and remodeling. On July 27th, Lone Butte Casino will debut the first finished portion of this anticipated project, the expanded gaming floor. On August 7th the all new Cities Bar & Grille will debut. This new dining concept offers true All-American flavors, derived from the culinary inspiration of signature dishes from across the country. The expansive dining and bar menus bring guest an experience that is perfect for lunch, brunch or dinner.

Our Chefs have created entrees representative of various American regions—from New Orleans Jambalaya to St. Louis Ribs, Baltimore Crab Cakes to a juicy New York Strip. We use only the freshest ingredients and prepare our dishes from scratch. Spices, herbs, vegetables and meats have been hand selected and ordered to match the regional flavors by our experts.

Invite guests to come on out and experience the culinary delights highlighting the essence of American cuisine coast-to-coast.

Lone Butte Casino will reveal the remaining new additions on September 19th. Headlining the day will be R&B kings, Kool & The Gang.

VOLUNTEERS

A Balanced Life includes team members being at different points along their path to health and wellness. The Annual Benefits and Wellness Expo can actually save lives, especially for team

members that only go to a doctor when they are extremely sick, instead of having an annual wellness check-up.

At GRGE, we encourage and educate team members to be proactive in creating healthy habits. On August 25th and 26th the Benefits Department and Employee Assistance Program will be hosting the 2nd Annual Benefits and Wellness Expo at Wild Horse Pass Hotel & Casino and Vee Quiva Hotel & Casino. The annual expo will bring you a wide variety of health screenings, including biometric screenings, flu shots, chair massages, and so much more. GRGE’s purpose is to empower team members towards living a more balanced life.

2015Annual Benefits & Wellness EXPO

Length of Service: 6 years

Job Duties: The Hotel Sales Team is responsible for filling about half of the hotel occupancy with group convention/meeting business, corporate travelers, promotions and packages.

Favorite Part of the Job: This is my family! Being part of this team since the property opened has made me feel like I have built a home here, but a house is nothing without the people in it! I seize the opportunity to connect with our team, guests and community while being a liaison of GRGE and WHP.

Background: I was born in New York, but grew up in Tucson. I chose NAU for college so I could get the farthest away from Tucson as possible, while staying in-state. I tried the whole California scene for a bit, and then planted roots in Phoenix in 2000.

Team Members,

On Friday, August 7, Gila River Gaming Enterprises will open the all new Cities Bar & Grille at Lone Butte Casino. This opening completes many months of planning and execution. It is another step forward in the continuous development of amenities that we offer to all of our valued guests. We will complete the Lone Butte renovations in September which will include an expanded gaming floor and an event center to enhance our guest's entertainment experience.

Without the hard work of each and every team member we could not have achieved this goal. I am very proud of this amazing success as well as the success that we achieve every day at all of our properties. We continue to make our business grow and flourish because of our collective efforts to succeed as a unified team. You all have my sincere appreciation for all of your hard work.

Our hats are off to the Lone Butte Casino team. Running an ongoing business during construction is very difficult, but you have persevered. You have done a great job, and you are now coming down the home stretch. You will soon see that the results will be well worth all of your efforts. Know that you can count on all of our support to ensure that your opening will be perfect, and that your excellent levels of guest service will never falter.

My sincere gratitude to our entire team for “a job well done” each and every day.

Thanks,

Sincerely,Janice Ponziani
