The ABS campus is always abuzz with a plethora of activities and has become a dynamic venue where aspiring minds unite from a number of streams to make ABS what it is today. As the smell of a new novel excites a book reader, similar is a case with student who is ready to embark on the journey of the vast corporate world. Here in ABS we have always focused on preparing you for the journey ahead. We aim to give our future managers an enriching and life-turning experience, which will enable them to reach new heights in their professional life. We foster sharpening of skills and enhancement of knowledge base in our students through various extra-curricular, co-curricular and curricular activities. Education is what we imbibe-from our books, our peers, our teachers and our surroundings. As we move towards our goals, we must always keep in mind that we owe more to the world than it owes us. Each of us can and must do his or her bit to help build a universe that will nurture our future generation. You have completed your 1st year here while learning many new things about the corporate world, as you have moved on to the final stage of your journey with abs now its time for you to set your eyes on the bigger goal. I won‟t congratulate you on getting good scores but I will congratulate you on overcoming all the hardships in your life. All the experience and knowledge you have gained here combined with the knowledge you had before will help you in discovering a bright future. My Best wishes!

SUMMER INTERNSHIP EXPERIENCE
YES, I CAN SELL TOO!!
Selling is a phobia to many and the salesperson the devil that will catch hold of you to sell his stuff.
Well, it is a perceived notion and hard to break. With this I landed up being part of selling team of
Future Group –Kara Division during my internship. I was given the tag of “Brand Ambassador” of
their newly launched nail polish remover wipes. The job was to make consumers aware the product
which subsequently ended up selling the product.
Initially there were hiccups in convincing ladies to buy the product. The biggest obstacle was product
being segmented to only ladies and price being slightly higher than the competitors ensuring quality
and trust to consumers. Even I had maiden sale in starting days. But then my inner self echoed to do
something different and creative to sail through this tide. I researched how to sell, read books on
selling, consulted my sister and uncle who were MBA graduates and master at selling. This widened
my approach from a sales person to a brand ambassador of the product.
My heart still pumps high thinking of my first sale. I was conscious enough to have everything right
the first time, beginning from sales pitch to payment from customer to let the sale close smoothly.
That instill confidence in me realizing, ”Yes, I can sell too!!” Then there was no looking back and I
gradually evolved in this market of selling. My instant Gurus were the shop owners who gave me
practical experience of selling to customers. I was been applauded and appreciated by my manager
for my hard work and dedication to get the stock out at every store I visited. My toughest experience
was selling it to a man for his wife and I still find it amazing to have done that.
The lesson I learnt is selling is an art. Most people fail in life not because they lack talent, but because
they lack burning desire. Learning to sell is like learning to ride a bicycle. It is 90% conviction and
10% communication. Only when a seller is full convinced about hid product, he can sell it to others. It
as a life changing experience and I hope to relish its benefits in near future.

MY EXPERIENCE WORKING IN AN ANIMAL SHELTER Throughout my life, I have tried to help animals in my own ways. I came across SPCA, an NGO which
is situated near my college. I decided to volunteer in it. The volunteering has to be always associated
with the caring and giving time to the poor animals which I could give only do on weekends so I
signed up for it on weekends.
I have been working with this NGO for more than 1 year now. I have seen animals been treated in a
beautiful manner. A lot of love and care is given to them. I, as a volunteer, is mostly given the task
of brushing and bathing dogs and cows. Other people who come regularly are given the task of
feeding all the animalswhich can be a very challenging job in itself. All the animals are kept in
different sections which makes the surveillance easy.
Working with the animals is not easy as one may think. One needs to have patience while
interacting with them. Before touching them, you need to build trust in them that you are not there
to hurt them. They need to know that they are receiving love and care from you.
Whenever I try to interact with a dog, I have to very carefully let the dog sniff my hand and be aware
of my intentions of petting him. I also work with large animals which can be difficult at times. I also
help in the outreach programs in SPCA.
I am glad that I have found a place to learn how to help animals in need and give them a lots of love.
This task of volunteering has given me a chance of learning from the animals.

Sitting alone in my room I wondered
Was I challenged or the challenges challenged me
This thought seems insane so have thought of
making it sane
I read my heart, I read my mind,
Flipped through the books to make things fine
But things remain the same and the challenges
keep challenging me
Trying hard to find solutions deep inside
The naughty I stay silent outside
The outer layer unaffected though the inner core
struggling hard
The challenge is to make me strong and to learn
what I am meant for
The world seems challenging, the mind seems
challenging
What are these challenges? Why are they in life?
God says,” If life was to be made so easy then why
would have I decided to stay in mountains”
The inner child sits aside trusting the stronger me
to help her be fine.
Though the challenges still challenge me
But since they are mine
I will get done with them until I am fine.
------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------------
Struggling through the day
I write this way
The story of my world
With my hair in the finger curled
I can read my thoughts
I can read their pattern
Figuring them out
Lying straight on my couch
THE POETRIES WRITTEN BELOW ARE ONE OF THE
CHAPTERS FROM MY LIFE'S BOOK
The thoughts are mine
But the image not fine
Then who is to be blamed??
It says it's me!!
Hearing this, the little girl inside
Expresses her plight
She says in agony
The soul chose this flight
The flight that flies day and night
Landing someday with newer people to meet
And others to leave
I hugged my little girl.
Understanding her plight
My letting her down
Doesn't let her shine
So now, she will shine
Because the soul chose this flight
There is nobody to be blamed
But only the odd thoughts to be flamed
I get my lesson each day
As I make my way
Through the deepest routes inside
Putting into flame all pride
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
My heart speaks to me and says,
Was that you or is this you,
I tell my lovely heart,
That was me and this is also me
He smiles and says
Don‟t you fool me
Because I know you well
You kept me in hell by nurturing the mind
I apologized as I moved on to say,
Dear you, I know you are hurt
But the times have changed and so have I
Let yourself flow as fast as you can
As quickly as you want
The little heart smiles again,
Oh my dear you, why were you like this then
When I was hurt
But never mind
The pages have turned
The new chapter has started
Let‟s not go out of syllabus
Because more books to be read and learnt
The lessons of life
Which were not yet learnt
To give you and me a meaning
And for you and me to learn
-------------------------------------------------------------
------------------------------------------------------
Unfolding the chapters of my life
I keep writing
I keep writing
While I make my way through this day
It has left me to wonder
Just wonder
How things worked out
How the pages were turned
Have they not been
The stories would not have completed
The unfolding keeps happening
With every day passing
All thoughts also burnt
Until the breath is done
The stories of my life
Keep unfolding each day
Without letting me know that
It was just another chapter done
-------------------------------------------------------------
-------------------------------------------------------------
I breathe I breathe
This is how I breathe
Seeing the sun hidden behind the leaves, this is how
I breathe
Under the shadow of the trees
Behind the screen of the world
I sit with myself
And I breathe
People come and go
Some rushing through the exit doors
Some sipping their cold drinks
while some sinking within,
to find a home
to their hearts
And to their minds
Watching them pass
I breathe and I breathe
Some fully packed in suits
Some freely flying in their boots
Some breathe along with me
And hence the song repeats
I breathe I breathe
I see them water the plants
I see their hands filled with mud
It is they who let these leaflets grow
So that you and I can breathe
And breathe
