The Good Samaritan was also

a good steward, giving his time and his treasure to meet

his neighbor’s need. At the end of this familiar story, Je-sus urges His bearers – and

us- to go and do the same!

Food For Thought Joy can multiply itself in a heart

that overflows with love. Thank you, I would like to thank St. Gregory’s parish for my time being a member here. I have been a a homebound parishioner for the last few years. I appreciate the Priest visits, Communion Minister visits and thoughts and prayers from the parish. My family is now moving, you all will be missed, Geraldine Phillips

Please pray for Neil Felber who joined his heavenly Father last week. Please keep his Sister, Nelda Ream

in your prayers.

Come pray the Rosary and Chaplet of Divine Mercy for anyone you know who is sick, dying, distressed or just in need of prayers. Much good and many requests have been answered as a result of this monthly devotion. Let us raise our voices to heaven Wednesday, July 17th, 7:00 PM at St. Gregory the Great Church. Bring a friend.

Let Mary never be far from your lips or heart and to obtain the fruits of her prayers, do not forget the example of her life. With her support, you will never fall. Beneath her protection, you will never fear. Under her guidance, you will never tire. And with her help, you will reach your heavenly goal.----Saint Bernard Come early on Sunday morning and pray the rosary with us through the summer. If you have a "special intention" to pray for, let us know and we will mention before we begin the rosary. Thank You, Kevin Winter for leading rosary last week. Our rosary leader this week is Dennis Hladik. Following weeks of July leaders are: 21st--Kevin Winter and 28th--Brian & Kim Bruce. We need leaders for August and September so please check with Rita or Judy after mass to sign up. We appreciate all our rosary leaders and everyone that comes early and prays with us each Sunday! Blessings Rita and Judy

A Summer Blessing

Walk along beside me, Jesus, this summer. As I work, play, enjoy family time and friendships may I hear Your voice within me, guiding me towards all that is right and good. Give me faith in Your presence, knowing that You walk beside me in everything I do. Gracious and loving Jesus, thank you for the gift of summer. May the warmth of its sun and the beauty of its light remind me daily of Your love for me. Amen.

Year Anniversary Celebrating Catholic Mass In Enid.

From the Pastor, Rev. Mark E. Mason

Dear Parishioners, After vacating Enid for twenty-four days, and traveling through much of Italy, it is good to be home, and to be about the business of the Lord. It seems a lot converged upon us at once: The ordinations of Father Alex Kroll, a son of Enid, and Father John Herrera, our new associate, and Fathers Boazman, Krugg, and Banowsky. This of course followed the wonderful Mass of Thanksgiving offered by Fr. Kroll at St. Francis Xavier. It was a joy to be a part of this sacred sacrifice of the Lord. Outside of the ordinations, came the pastoral promotion of Fr. Kelly his transfer to Weatherford. We thank him for his untiring service to us, we wish him well in his new assignment, and we keep him in our prayers, and I thank all of you who provided him with a great send off. His last weekend with us was the weekend of the ordinations. And now it is time to welcome Fr. John. He brings a holy, energetic, and youthful spirit, similar to Fr. Kelly’s. Our chalices look totally different: his is silver plated, mine is gold, the cup style and engravings, as well as size are now way similar. By coincidence, however, they have the same three medallions imbedded in their bases: The Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and St. Joseph, holding the child Jesus. Who would’ve thought? Anyway, it is good to have Fr. John with us. This brings me to a very important event coming up. As you are aware, Sandy Howard is retiring as Director of Daily Bread after twenty years dedicated service. Her vision and determi-nation, Her sacrificial gift of self has made Our Daily Bread an extremely important ministry to the poor in our Community. She has impacted the city of Enid, and has brought hope, relief, and security to the lives of the thousands of people who have utilized the hot meals served from Our Daily Bread. We will honor her from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 20 at Our Daily Bread. We thank, Sandy, for what she has accomplished and given our community. Sincerely yours,

Fr. Mason
