SAINT GREGORY’S

FOOD PANTRY

Fall, 2016 Dear School Families,

Thank you to all who sent in cereal and breakfast items. We were able to send

many, many bags of food to Saint Gregory’s Food Pantry. Once again, fourth grade

parents will deliver all donations for us during the year.

During November, we are collecting food for Thanksgiving dinner. We’re

asking each student to contribute an item to the collection box placed in his/her

homeroom. Any canned or packaged non-perishable food item is appreciated. Some

non-food items are also needed. Listed below are some suggestions. Every donation

is gratefully accepted. Our donations will be delivered to Saint Gregory’s on

November 17.

Thank you for your cooperation and support in this endeavor to help our

children to be aware of others’ needs.

Sincerely,

Miss Butler

Ghosts and Goblins Parents and Friends

You are invited to Saint Peter's Annual Halloween Parade

Monday, October 31, 2016

From 1:00 p.m. to 1:45 p.m.

Children do not come to school in costume. They carry their costumes to school in a bag, and will return home the same way. Costumes are to be simple, no make-up. All students are permitted to wear gym uniforms on that day. The children will put their costumes on over their gym uniform in the classroom. One prize will be awarded in each class for the best homemade costume. If a pair or group is chosen winner, the children will share the prize.

We ask that you park on Forman Avenue. PLEASE DO NOT PARK in the school parking lot. Also, do not park on Atlantic Avenue school side, which is where the buses park at dismissal.

Weather permitting the parade route begins on Atlantic Avenue continues on Saint Louis then on Forman back to the gym. You are invited to join us in the gym after the children have entered the school. You are welcome to stand in the back or use the fourth bleachers on both sides of the gym. Please do not cross the caution tapes. If inclement weather, the parade will take place in the gym.

If you plan on taking your children home with you at dismissal, please send in a note with your child in the morning. We look forward to seeing everyone. Thank you for your cooperation.
