Utility Bill’s story begins at Power Co., where Bill is hardly a twinkle in the utility provider’s eye…

After checking the smart meter to get an accurate reading of last month’s energy consumption, Bill’s handler at Power Co. hits “Print.”

Bill is born, still warm off the printer and ready to take on the world!

After being fitted with a fresh envelope, Bill takes a deep breath and steps out into the world, excited to begin his adventure.

Boarding the mail truck, Bill can hardly wait to arrive at his new home, Widgets Inc.

the mail carrier finally delivers Bill along with dozens of other letters and packages.

Widget Inc.’s store manager roughly questions him, asking embarrassing questions.

Then, Bill is slammed into a scanner and sent to Widget Inc.’s accounting department like a common email!

Widget Inc.'s accountant reviews Bill's scan, and manually enters his sensitive data into the system. But, he makes a data entry error and Bill is found guilty of first degree inefficiency!

And finally, after spending weeks in a dark filing cabinet, Bill is stuffed into a box and sent to a sstorage unit with thousands of other helpless bills.

The accountant sends Bill's inaccurate information off to the energy and sustainability managers who then make important decisions based on these falsified claims. Uh oh!

Confused, creased and torn, Bill is shoved into a filing cabinet for “safe keeping.”

Bill’s adventure isn’t going quite as he expected…
