Ready to be super competitive at the State Fair of Texas? Here is your ticket! The quintessential component of the equation is KLD HUK. This steer should be well on track on be one of the ones to get around in the heavy weight market steer class. KLD HUK’s sire, KAP Orson Hunter sired one of the most impressive steers of 2016 -- KLD Sven. Exhibited by Paisley Lautner, KLD Sven won Iowa Beef Expo, Mini Hereford Hr Nationals and the American Royal in Kansas City. KLD HUK is a half sib to the great KLD Sven. KAP Orson Hunter sired embryos gathered $1100 apiece in the Denver MiniMafia sale in January.
KLD HUK was shown this past summer by Brylie Turner (7 years old of Elgin, Texas). He was Grand Mini Steer at the Pecan Classic and Travis County. This steer would be a good prospect for a first-time exhibitor. Brylie won numerous showmanship contest with HUK. She is now graduated to showing market steers.

Turner GirlsSTRIKE is a younger aged steer that should be on-target for Houston in 2018. If you are planning for a a down the road banner, this one has all of the potential to make it happen. STRIKE was used in Showmanship by Brylie Turner -- never standing less than in the top three. STRIKE comes from the powerful Leifeste program of Cameron, Texas. DRIT ZIPPY has sired most all of the Big Banner Winners for the Leifeste Crew. Here is a list of the half-sib’s winning to MSL STRIKE 518D. DRIT ZIPPY was named Grand in 2013 in Denver & San Antonio, division winner at 2013 Houston. Two daughters Division Champ in 2016 San Antonio & Houston 2017 Houston Open Show Res. Grand. Steers: Res. Pre-Jr Prospect at 2017 San Antonio. Res. Champ Open Prospect 2017 San Antonio, Grand Pre-Jr Prospect, 2017 Houston & Res. Open Prospect 2017 Houston. ZIPPY progeny in 2016-2017 have taken home countless buckles & banners...at least 30!!
Talk about a mini with everything you need! This steer is the complete package. He’s phenomenal in his own right with the ability to take you places you’ve never been! You don’t want to miss the opportunity to take him on the road and gather up some buckles and banners! His style is second to none and you won’t regret being his proud owner. The heifers in his herd sold at $7,000-8,000 in their online sale so don’t miss out on an awesome calf!
BH Frito 0016 (KAP FLETCH QUIP son) is the herd sire for K Bar C. Their online sale earlier this month had two females that topped this Spring’s Internet sales fetching $8,500 K BAR C LITTLE DARLING 18 and $7,000 K BAR C LIL ROSE 10 respectively. I personally went to see these females and tried to buy them let there be no doubt, the Deal is Real. -- CJS

Simply the Best Genetic’s in the Breed! Cady is the “Pinacle” cow in the breed! She has set a the production standard for what all Miniature Hereford cows strive to be! She has produced the 2 most dominating show heifers this breed has seen, KLD Cally and KLD Kit. Both Kit and Cally won the National Junior Miniature Hereford Show. Both were crowned Grand Champion in Louisville and Kit ran thru the largest and most competitive Mini world show like a buzz saw and was named Grand Champion in Denver in 2016. Mating Cady to Ben was a absolute “No Brainer”! Ben is one of the deepest and soundest bulls we have came across in years. We liked him so much we decided to partner on Ben with Bear Grove Beef because we feel his impact on the breed will be great and we wanted to be apart of the journey. Cady’s look and predictability to produce breed leaders coupled with Ben’s softness and shape will put you in the forefront of dominating genetics and the favorite in the showring! We are selling 3 embryo’s gauranteeing 1 Pregnancy if work is done by a certified embryologist.

Two Great Families to do business with. I own two Cady daughters and will be putting several sets of BEN DOVER sired embryos and a flush from CRF MAGGIE MAY (maternal sib) for our own program. Lots of Potential Here !!! CJS
SNAPPER May 6, 2016 SS Turtle x Jo Jo Star 43728085 LE 506
Rick Trumbull [email protected]
This fine steer calf out of SS Turtle possesses nice conformation and thickness. He is a May calf just ready to hit the Summer Show Circuit. His genetics arise from Becket Farms of New Hampshire. The cows we purchased from them in 2011 are the foundation of the Trumbull Genetics herd. If he follows the path of his sire, SS Turtle, and multiple heifers from the same cow family expect to be in the Winner’s Circle!
Muscular, Big-Topped calf with plenty of Length, Balance, and Look. SS Turtle is one of the most utilized bulls in the breed -- not to mention being back to back World Champion by winning Grand at Denver in 2015 and 2016. As a bonus SNAPPER has a great disposition, he’s good haired, and sets up awesome on halter. -- CJS
MAP ABIGAIL May 16, 2016 LL Playmate Deuce x MAP Casper 43705870
Rick Trumbull [email protected]
Consider ABIGAIL for you junior’s first project. She is clean fronted and moderately framed. But her best attribute is her personality. She is extremely mild mannered and gentle. When her show career is over she will settle in as a brood cow ready to produce the next generation of show animals. Without a doubt, the best female in the offering.
This May heifer has tons of length and extension and is ultra feminine up front. She’s green, her best days are ahead of her! The video does her more justice. This is a buying opportunity. -- CJS
BUDDY Tag 15 This guy is Big Bellied, Sound, Level Hipped, and already
has a couple shows under his belt. He’s easy going, friendly, and ready to
haul and be competitive. BUDDY is from the Rolling Hills Herefords outfit:
Brent, Shelly, Jenna and Laynee White do an outstanding job raising High
Quality Mini Herefords in Blakesburg, Iowa. If you are looking for one that
will be a great opportunity for a first-time feeder, this should be on your list.

LEO Tag 19. Big, Burly, Sweet, and Cooperative. He made picture day so much
easier because he’s laid back and will do anything you want him to. He’d be a great
project for a beginner. He also ready to roll into that market steer division. There
is no doubt on classifying......he is all Hereford! Let this be one of your picks for
the summer shows. LOAD and GO!

TAY ROGER’S LEO March 2, 2016 Lil Roger Henry Sampson x CCR Spanky 43697406 RE T3026
HUMPHREY Tag 48 This eye catching dude is Good Chested, and Neat Necked with
Plenty of Body Shape and Power too. He looks the part now and has enough grow
and lateness of maturity to be a really neat fat. One of the youngest calves in the
offering with a lot of potential ahead of him. He has been taking well to the halter
and being tied. Consider this HUMPHREY for the long-term feeding program for
Prospect and Market classes.

EZRAH Tag 50 This guy is green as a gord, but has all the freaky pieces to be really
cool in the end. All he needs is some time and TLC! He has a double shot of SS Mr
Clyde on the top and bottom sides of his pedigree. The Nebraska winter was tough
this year. He has been on the breaking program about 45 days and has taken to
rinsing, blowing and leading well. EZRAH will do nothing but Getter Better. He will
have all the lines and pizzazz of a show steer. Look him over Sale Day.

HALDOR Tag 75 Love this calf’s Huge Feet and Legs. He’s S T O U T all the way
through and still plenty Level and Balanced from the side. If there is one steer in
the sale that shoudl make a really competitive market steer, this is the one. He
looks the part, he has the parts, and will be the part. Still a little green, but lots
of mileage in this one. He has been tied and haltered and should be ready to go
to work for you in the show ring.

In May, Emily Paige Taylor will graduate from Texas A&M University with a Bachelors Degree in Ag Communications and Journalism. Throughout her ten years in her local 4H club and FFA chapter, she judged livestock, held a variety of offices, and participated in a number of other LDE events. Emily grew up in the greater area of Houston, Texas and began her collegiate career in Brenham, Texas at Blinn College.
It was only natural to take on all that Blinn’s Ag Department had to offer; over the course of two years there, she assisted in coordinating multiple livestock shows, managed the college’s Ag club, and held a state office with the Texas Junior College Agricultural Association. In her last two years at TAMU, Emily has continued on with her traveling to nearly every major Texas livestock show while also taking on several internships that have helped her utilize her passion and degree.
Being involved in many aspects of the agricultural industries as a child has propelled her on to a career path driven by passion. Show steers quickly became the primary focus of her family and together, they’ve covered the state with a trailer. Not limited to just cattle, she’s dabbled in it all, and holds a deep passion for all species of agriculture.
Above all, Emily strives to give back to the industry that shaped her to be the woman she is today. In that, she hopes to impact young lives that are trying to find their place among the rest of us, while also using her talent of voice and writing to advocate for the agricultural industries and those who make them thrive.
