Come Join our Town Hall meeting on the new Affordable Care Act The Hindu Temple of Greater Detroit - Michigan in a collaborative efforts with Healthy Asian Americans Project invite you to attend an interactive town hall meeting on the Affordable Care Act. Representatives from Michigan Minority Health Coalition will give a presentation on the health care and health insurance issues. A question and answer period will be included. This meeting will cover questions like: •What is the minimum coverage provision? Should everybody have health insurance? •If I do not get health insurance, is there a penalty? •What types of coverage will satisfy the requirement? •What happens if my family and I are covered by employer-provided insurance? •What if my family and I are covered by Medicaid or Medicare? •What is the Exchange /Marketplace? What are the exemption? •Will my parents (new immigrants with sponsored green cards) be covered?
