Hike 20 miles over two days along one of the most scenic sections of the Appalachian Trail, Max Patch to Hot Springs. Hikers will leave

your vehicles in Hot Springs where you will be ferried to Max Patch. Halfway to town, you’ll camp for the night. On Saturday you will complete the downhill journey to beautiful Hot Springs, the lowest elevation in WNC and join Bike for Life cyclists as you celebrate the completion of this section of the bucket list Appalachian Trail!

HIKERS

Enjoy two days and 135 miles on your bike riding for a cause the first weekend in June. Bike for Life is changing its venue after 4 years

to a challenging two-day ride to the highest peak on the East Coast (Mount Mitchell) from Asheville and back, and the following day from Asheville to Hot Springs via the French Broad River, Marshall, over Doggett Mountain, finishing in Hot Springs, the lowest elevation in WNC. Following the ride, a celebration will take place in Hot Springs along with those participants in Hike For Life who will be finishing up two days on the Appalachian Trail.
