G’day Hurricaners,

Welcome to the 2019 karting season, I trust everybody had a great festive season and are all falling back into routine. Hurricane is starting the season with a fun/come and try day on the 19th Jan. This will be a great opportunity to catch up with our karting pals and also a great time to expose what we have to offer to potential new members.

I would like to kick off with welcoming Gary, Hayden and Dan onto the committee and also like to thank Gary, Jason, Rick and Glenn for their contributions over the past few years and of course the existing members for their ongoing commitment.

Over the break behind the scenes Amy has reported a good number of new membership which is a positive start to the year. As always support your club when and where you can. Participating at club days always ensures the strength of the club but equally important is helping out particularly stepping up to do your race day duties.

This year we have a number of projects to focus on with placement of the new tyre barriers being one of our larger tasks we need to achieve, work will be starting on that one real soon so we will keep you all posted on when that is going to occur as the more help we can get the easier it we be.

I really am looking forward to the year ahead and catching up for a chat, a banger and a beer .Stay safe and as always thanks for making Hurricane your place to race.

Yours in karting,

Robbie
