In 2018 we reopened the grand old doors of the iconic Fairyhill to unveil the K Room, an epic glass extension designed especially to host wedding receptions. The contemporary space perfectly juxtaposes our chocolate-box-pretty Georgian mansion, offering a true sense of ‘something old and something new’. Fairyhill’s new chapter has been hailed a critical success with the venue tipped as one of the best in the U.K. The striking glass construction adds a pinch of 21st century cool, while the charm and character of the original house still offers ‘old world’ grandeur.

Behind the grand old Georgian doors you can expect plush sofas, luxurious velvets and period fireplaces. The main house boasts two bars, luxurious bedrooms fit for a king or queen and traditional lounges full of character. Fairyhill is where modern luxury meets traditional grandeur. Discover a little bit of history in each of the nooks and crannies of our Grade II listed home. Travel through the old to discover something new….

Fairyhill can host up to 150 day guests and 300 evening guests.

You and your guests will have exclusive access to two traditional lounges boasting views of the rolling lawns, two stylish bars, 11 luxurious bedrooms situated in the main house, 7 ultra-modern bedrooms based in the new K wing, a coach house and of course our ‘game changer’, The K Room. An epic glass space boasting panoramic views of our Gower garden which can host up to 150 guests for your wedding breakfast.

Designed to host up to 150 wedding guests, this versatile space is transformed throughout the day to host your ceremony, wedding breakfast and evening party, while your drinks receptions are hosted in the splendour of the main house. Underneath the K Room you will discover 7 ultra-modern en-suite bedrooms.

‘Wandering through the old to discover something new’ the K Room is adjoined to the main house via the billiard bar and offers a contrast to wow even the most discerning of guests.

Up to 44 of your wedding guests can indulge in a sleepover. We offer 11 luxurious en-suite bedrooms in the main house, 7 ultra-modern en-suites in the new K Wing and our traditional

Coach House situated within the grounds, which sleeps up to six guests. Our accommodation is for the exclusive use of your guests, allowing your party to fully immerse themselves in the experience of your special day. The following morning, we encourage you to blow away the cobwebs and take a stroll around the grounds before indulging in a post-wedding Welsh breakfast.

Fairyhill has long had a reputation as a foodie destination in Wales. You and your guests can expect a wedding breakfast that rivals first class restaurants. The Oldwalls Collection has become renowned for shunning ‘banquet cuisine’, with flavour and innovation being at the heart of every dish, regardless of the party size.

Our award-winning head chef, Chris Keenan and his team, are committed to creating exquisite dishes using the finest locally sourced ingredients, including seasonal produce picked from our very own walled garden. At Fairyhill we offer a lavish five-course menu as a starting point and not a luxurious exception. All of our dishes are designed to be memorable and we invite you in for a complimentary menu tasting so you can select your all-important wedding breakfast menu. For a menu truly unique we offer the opportunity to create a bespoke menu with our chef. Our canape and buffet menus boast a vast range of delicious options which demonstrates our hunger to keep our fingers on the pulse of gastronomic culture. Expect street food, pan Asian and mezze options, in addition to traditional menus and flavours.

RUSTIC RETREATS

We are committed to offering an unrivalled wedding experience, that’s why we are proud to offer our Rustic Retreats, because sometimes, one day just isn’t enough.

Book one of our Rustic Retreats (exclusive cottages sleeping up to 12 guests) the night before the wedding so that both the bridal party and the groom and his guests can look forward to a stress-free morning. Just minutes away from Fairyhill, Rustic Retreats by Oldwalls make stunning locations for those candid morning-of-the-wedding photographs. On the night of the wedding, our cottages can offer additional accommodation for your wedding guests. But it needn’t end there. Hire them the day after for some post-event celebrations, from a barbecue on the terrace to a garden party or drinks indoors.

We had lots going on from day to night, including a surprise Irish folk performance, but nothing was too much trouble for the event coordinators and we can’t thank everyone enough. We had rack of Welsh lamb for main and it was honestly the best meal I’ve ever had at a wedding (I may be biased but its true)! The only negative for us was that the day went by so quickly. We will hold a date free of charge for you for up to 7 days. To secure your wedding with us, a deposit of £500 will then be required.
