New Artdeco distributor outlines plans for the Brand
Chleo Enterprises has taken over the UK
distribution for make-up brand Artdeco.
The distributor, which is run by brother-
and-sister team Nicola
Mealia and Richard Hurley,
has sold the German
make-up brand in Ireland for
the past 25 years and now
plans to repeat its
distribution model in the UK.
In Ireland, Chleo
Enterprises also distributes
skincare brands Sothys and
DMK and wax brand Perron
Rigot.
Chleo takes over Artdeco's
UK distribution from Colin
Laphan, who sold the brand
under distributor name
Artdeco UK until earlier this
year, and now sells French
brand LeMaq Pro.
Mealia said Chleo's initial
plans for Artdeco included a
tighter distribution strategy
with set minimum orders, as
well as a focus on education
and fast delivery.
"We won't sell into any
salon without all its staff
having full Artdeco training.
We also run training
refresher courses, which I
think is why Artdeco does
so well in Ireland," she said.
The brand's minimum opening order is
and salons as well as
pharmacies and retailers
to grow distribution.
Mealia said she was
aware that s Artdeco's
UK accounts
experienced in
receiving orders in the
past but rea stockists
that orders would now
be r within two to three
days.
Chleo has taken a
stand at Profe Beauty
North in September to
meet t market. "I'm
bringing lots of my team
and we'll be running
short courses," Mealia.
These will include a
semi contouring and
foundation and anot
autumn/winter looks.

quickly to conceal dark circles while reducing puffiness in
the eye area. The light, creamy texture effortlessly melts

the look of tired eyes. Enriched with aloe vera extract to
soothe the eye contour and caffeine to stimulate the skin's

There are those of us who love our nails, keep up with trends and have a polish
collection that is, quite frankly, a bit on the obsessive side. And there are those who pay little or no attention to them at all. But whether you like your nails long or short, sparkly or natural, the basics stay the same and well groomed nails will be noticed more than you might think.
It’s all about getting nails, cuticles and hands in good condition… Only then should you reach for that glossy polish you’ve had your eye on.
For starters, nails need daily protection. “It’s a myth that nails need to ‘breathe’,” explains nail pro Pamela Laird (www.pamelalaird.
ie). “Nails are fl attened layers of dead
skin and need protection.
Always
keep a good base coat on them, even when you’re not applying colour. Try Sally Hansen Nail Rehab (€10.99) as it suits all nail types and has a pinky tone to it too.”
We tend to give our nails a tough time day-to-day and using them for jobs they’re really not made for can result in weakened, damaged nails that are prone to splitting (not a good look!) Happily, taking a few simple precautions will help to keep them strong and healthy. Wear rubber gloves when washing dishes or
