POPULATION CONTROL UNDER THE GUISE OF CONSUMERPROTECTION

The Codeath, sorry, Codex Alimentarius Commission is a verymisunderstood organisation. Most people have never heard of it, andthose who have heard of it may not understand the true reality of thisextremely powerful trade organisation. According to the official

Codex website (http://www.codexalimentarius.net), the altruistic purpose of thiscommission is in "protecting health of the consumers and ensuring fair tradepractices in the food trade, and promoting coordination of all food standardswork undertaken by international governmental and non-governmentalorganizations". The Codex Alimentarius (Latin for "Food Code") is regulatedunder a joint venture between the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO)and the World Health Organization (WHO).

Brief History of CodexThe history of Codex began in 1893 when the Austro-Hungarian Empire

decided it needed a specific set of guidelines by which the courts could rule oncases dealing with food.1 This set of regulatory mandates became known asCodex Alimentarius. It was effectively implemented until the fall of the empirein 1918.

At a meeting in 1962, the United Nations (UN) decided that Codex should bere-implemented worldwide in order to "protect" the health of consumers. Two-thirds of funding for Codex emanates from the FAO, and the other third comesfrom the WHO.

In 2002, FAO and WHO had serious concerns about the direction of Codexand hired an external consultant to determine its performance since 1962 and todesignate which direction to take the trade organisation.2 The consultantconcluded that Codex should be scrapped immediately. It was at this time thatbig industry stepped in and exerted its powerful influence. The updatedoutcome was a toned-down report asking Codex to address 20 concerns withinthe organisation.

Since 2002, the Codex Alimentarius Commission has covertly surrendered itsrole as an international public health and consumer protection organisation.Under the helm of big industry, the surreptitious purpose of the new Codex is toincrease profits for the global corporate juggernauts while controlling the worldthrough food.

Codex Inequalities The most dominant country behind the agenda of Codex is the United States,

whose primary purpose is to benefit the large multinational interests of BigPharma, Big Agribusiness, Big Chema and the like. At the latest meeting inGeneva, Switzerland (30 June to 4 July 2008), the US became the chair ofCodex3 and now will exacerbate the distortion of health freedom and continue

to promulgate misinformation and lies about nutrients andgenetically modified organisms (GMOs) while fulfillingits tacit population-control agenda. One reason why theUS continues to dominate Codex is because othercountries falsely believe that it possesses the latest andgreatest food safety technology; hence, whatever the USasks for, its allies (Australia, Argentina, Brazil, Canada,Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, Singapore and theEuropean Union) follow suit nearly every time.

The fact that Codex meetings are held all over the worldis also no accident and allows the US to maintain its tightgrip on the Codex agendabecause the less economicallyviable countries are not able toattend. The governments ofmany of these countries (such asCameroon, Egypt, Ghana,Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa,Sudan and Swaziland) realisethat Codex has been altered froma benevolent food organisation toone that is fraudulent, lethal andillegitimate.

Health Freedom ThreatsWhile the mainstream media are busy with their esoteric

agenda of driving fear into the hearts of the world'spopulace by focusing on terrorism, global warming, salmonella outbreaks and food shortages, the real threatsare surreptitiously becoming a reality. Soon, every singlething you put into your mouth, including water (with theexception of pharmaceuticals, of course), will be highlyregulated by the Codex Alimentarius Commission.

The Codex standards are a complete affront to people'sfreedom to access clean, healthy food and beneficialnutrients, yet these regulations have no legal international

standing. Why should we be worried? These soon-to-bemandatory standards will apply to every country that's amember of the World Trade Organization (WTO)(presently there are 153 members). If countries do notfollow these standards, then crippling economic and tradesanctions may be imposed on them, although countriesmay be able to avoid the standards of Codex through theimplementation of their own international standards.

Some government-run agencies, like the TherapeuticGoods Administration (TGA) in Australia, are informingthe public that the vitamin and mineral guideline of Codex

will not affect their country. Forexample, the TGA had this tosay: "The proposed CodexGuidelines for Vitamin andMineral Food Supplements willnot apply in Australia and willhave no impact on the way thesetypes of products are regulated inAustralia."4

The bottom line is that no oneknows what types of laws will bepassed before Codexharmonisation occurs, and nocountry is safe from these

international guidelines, regardless of what governmentagencies are saying in order to quell pre-emptively anypotential public uprising. Many alternative health activistsbelieve this may be a method to confuse and obfuscate theCodex issue until it is too late.

Some Codex standards which are proposed to take effectin the near future, and which will be completelyirrevocable once initiated, include:5

• All nutrients (e.g., vitamins and minerals) are to beconsidered toxins/poisons and are to be removed from allfood because Codex prohibits the use of nutrients to

"prevent, treat or cure any condition ordisease".

• All food (including organic) is tobe irradiated, thus removing all "toxic"nutrients from food (unless consumerscan source their food locally). Theprecursor to Codex harmonisation inthis area began in the USA in August2008 with the clandestine decision tomandate the mass irradiation of alllettuce and spinach in the name ofpublic health and safety. If the safetyof the public was the main concern ofthe US Food and Drug Administration(FDA), then why were people notalerted to this new practice?

• Nutrients allowed will be limited toa Positive List developed by Codex; itwill include such "beneficial" nutrientsas fluoride (3.8 mg daily), sourcedfrom industrial waste.

16 • NEXUS www.nexusmagazine.com OCTOBER – NOVEMBER 2008

...no country is safe from thesemandatory internationalguidelines, regardless of

what government agencies aresaying in order to quell

pre-emptively any potential public uprising.

• All nutrients (e.g., vitamins A, B, C, D, zinc andmagnesium) that have any positive health impact on thebody will be deemed illegal in therapeutic doses underCodex and are to be reduced to amounts negligible tohealth, with maximum limits set at 15 per cent of thecurrent Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA).6 Youwill not be able to obtain these nutrients in therapeuticdoses anywhere in the world, even with a prescription.

Potentially permissible safe levels of nutrients under theCodex are not yet set in stone. Some probable examplesbased on the European Union (EU) system may include:

– Niacin: upper limit of 34 μg (micrograms) daily(effective daily doses range from 2,000 to 3,000 μg).

– Vitamin C: upper limits of 65 to225 μg daily (effective daily dosesrange from 6,000 to 10,000 μg).

– Vitamin D: upper limit of 5 μgdaily (effective daily doses range from6,000 to 10,000 μg).

– Vitamin E: upper limit of 15 IU(international units) of alpha tocopherolper day, even though alpha tocopherolby itself has been implicated in celldamage and is toxic to the body(effective daily doses of mixedtocopherols range from 10,000 to12,000 IU).

• It will most likely be illegal togive any advice on nutrition(including in written articlesposted online and in journals aswell as oral advice to a friend, afamily member or anyone). Thisdirective applies to any and allreports on vitamins and mineralsand all nutritionists' consultations. This type of information may beconsidered a hidden barrier totrade and may result in economictrade sanctions for the involvedcountry.

• All dairy cows on the planet are to be treated withMonsanto's genetically engineered recombinant bovinegrowth hormone (rBGH).

• All animals used for food are to be treated with potentantibiotics and exogenous growth hormones.

• Deadly and carcinogenic organic pesticides, includingseven of the 12 worst (e.g., hexachlorobenzene, toxapheneand aldrin), which were banned by 176 countries(including the US) in 1991 at the Stockholm Conventionon Persistent Organic Pollutants,7 will be allowed backinto food at elevated levels.

• The Codex will allow dangerous and toxic levels ofaflatoxin (0.5 ppb) in milk. Aflatoxin, produced in animalfeed that's gone mouldy in storage, is the second-most-potent (non-radiation-related) carcinogenic compoundknown.

• Use of growth hormones and antibiotics will bemandatory on all livestock, birds and aquacultured speciesmeant for human consumption.

• The worldwide introduction of unlabelled and deadlyGMOs into crops, animals, fish and plants will bemandated.

• Elevated levels of residue from pesticides andinsecticides that are toxic to humans and animals will beallowed.

The Population Control AgendaIn 1995, the FDA adopted an illegal policy which stated

that international standards (i.e., Codex) would supersedeUS laws governing all food, even ifthese standards were incomplete.8

Furthermore, in 2004, the US passedthe Central America Free TradeAgreement (illegal under US law, butlegal under international law) thatrequires the US to conform to Codex.9

Once these standards are adopted, there is no way to return to thestandards of old, but countries canadopt ones that are considered higherthan those of Codex. An example ofthis would be the EuropeanSupplements Directive. Once Codex

compliance begins in any area, aslong as any country remains amember of the WTO, it is totallyirrevocable: the standards cannotbe repealed, changed or altered inany way, shape or form.10, 11, 12

Population control for money isthe easiest way to describe the newCodex Alimentarius, which ineffect is being run by the US andprimarily controlled by BigPharma with the aim of reducingthe world's population from itscurrent estimate of 6.692 billion to

a sustainable 500 million—an approximate 93 per centreduction. Interestingly enough, before the arrival ofEuropeans in America, the Native American population inthe US was around 60 million;13 today it hovers around500,000, or an approximate 92 per cent reduction as aresult of government policies of genocide, starvation andpoisoning.

Codex is similar to other population control measuresundertaken clandestinely by governments of the westernworld; for example, the introduction of DNA-damagingand latent immunosuppressive agents in vaccines (e.g.,weaponised avian flu and AIDS), aspartame, chemtrails, chemotherapy for cancer treatment and RU486 (theabortion pill funded by the Rockefeller dynasty).

FAO and WHO have estimated that by the introductionof just the vitamin and mineral guideline alone, within 10

years a minimum three billion deaths will result.14 Onebillion of these deaths will be due to starvation, and twobillion as a result of preventable and degenerative diseasesof undernutrition, e.g., cancer, cardiovascular disease anddiabetes.15, 16

The foisting of degraded, demineralised, pesticide-filledand irradiated foods on consumers is the fastest and mostefficient way to cause a profitable surge in malnutritionand preventable and degenerative diseases, for which themost appropriate course of action is toxic pharmaceuticaltreatment. Death for profit is the new name of the game.

Big Pharma has been waiting for Codex harmonisationfor years. An incognisant worldpopulation physically degenerating at anaccelerated pace, providing a spike inrevenue, is the ultimate goal for thefurtive and egregious controllers of thiscorrupt trade organisation purportedlylooking out for the health of consumers.

Fighting Back with PrivateStandards

Rima Laibow, MD, medical directorfor the Natural Solutions Foundation, has brought legal action against the USgovernment and continues to attendevery Codex meeting as a publicobserver while fighting for ourhealth freedom. She has also beenmeeting with delegates fromvarious countries to make themaware of Private Standards, whichallow countries to draft foodstandards which are safer andhigher than those mandated byCodex. Obviously, drafting saferstandards is not a difficult task, andmany countries can seeminglycircumvent the flawed andirrevocable guidelines that Codexis attempting to implement.17

Battle over GM Labelling The latest Codex meeting in Geneva concluded with

some interesting outcomes. Some long-simmeringacrimony began to surface as the US continued to forceforward the biased agendas of Big Pharma, Big Chema,Big Agribusiness and the like without considering theinput of many other countries. Typically, if the US doesnot want a country's input, the host country of the meetingsimply denies visas to official delegates. Several countriesobject to this practice and stated that because of this andother reasons, decisions made by Codex in their absencedo not have international legitimacy.

One major point of contention is the US and the CodexAlimentarius Commission's staunch refusal to allowlabelling of GMOs. Japan, Norway, Russia, Switzerland

and virtually all the African countries and 26 EuropeanUnion countries have fought the US for nearly 18 years tointroduce mandatory labelling of GMOs. The USfallaciously considers GMOs to be equivalent to non-GMOs, based solely on a 1992 Executive Order from then-President George H. W. Bush. Consequently, no pre-market safety testing is conducted on any GMOs beforethey are released into the food chain in the US. The FDArefuses to review any safety data except to conduct a singlepreliminary review early in the organism's development.

Opponents of the US policy prohibiting labelling ofgenetically modified food conclude that the US does not

want GMOs labelled because of thepotential legal ramifications for andliability of manufacturers and the USgovernment if these foods can betraced. If millions of people areharmed or killed due to the instabilityof the inserted DNA promoter virusesand marker bacteria when interactingwith the dynamic and fluid structure ofthe human body, then millions oflawsuits may result. But if theseGMOs are totally untraceable, thencorporate or government liabilitycannot be assessed and the health ofthe entire population suffers. Some

FDA scientists have repeatedlywarned about releasing GMOsinto the general food supplybecause of the dangers, but theyhave been ignored or routinelyoverruled.

Prior to the Geneva meeting, theCodex Committee on FoodLabelling met in Ottawa, Canada(28 April to 2 May 2008). Themeeting concluded with severalpro–mandatory GMO labellingnations angry that the committee

had not objectively analysed the empirical research, prepared by the South Africa delegation, detailing thedangers of GMOs. This document delineated the need formandatory labelling of GMOs, but was ignored andsubsequently withdrawn due to US pressure. As a result, several countries planned to scrap the requirements ofCodex and adopt their own labelling system for GMOs inan effort to curtail the spread of "lethal" food. This becamea real quandary for FAO and WHO.

According to Dr Laibow, at the recent Geneva meetingFAO and WHO finally stepped in and decided toundertake a program to identify low-level contaminationof GMOs in food.

The definition of low-level contamination will stilldepend on each country's standards. For example, the US

currently allows for up to 10 per cent(the highest of any country underCodex) of GMO contamination oforganic foods and, amazingly, stillallows them to be labelled as "USDACertified Organic". Somegovernments, such as the EuropeanUnion, allow only 0.9 per centcontamination, while others permitmerely 0.1 per cent.

However, the FAO and WHO's useof the term "contamination" simplydoes not describe the GMOs as beingmixed in with normal food. This termis also very noteworthy, as mostresearch on the dangers of GMOs canno longer be denied.

The US, of course, vehementlyobjected to such a designation, but thistime to no avail.

Although FAO and WHO have notgone so far as to require mandatorylabelling of GMOs, their recognitionthat GMOs can contaminate food is ahuge win for health freedom.

Expanding that requirement tomandatory labelling is the next logicalstep, but this is still a work inprogress.

Take Action against Codex! The only way to avoid the death-for-

profit agenda is to fight back bydisseminating knowledge to everyoneyou know.

It does not matter whether they arestill asleep or hypnotised by theenslavement of daily life or too busy topay attention: the time to wake up isnow.

The US government and thecollaborating media have been trying todistract the world while all theseegregious and mandatory standards arecovertly passed.

It is time to take action, and you cando so by going to the website of theNatural Solutions Foundation, whichcan be found at www.healthfreedomusa.org, and following the latest updateson Codex. You can also sign a legalcitizen's petition at the web page

http://www.healthfreedomusa.org/index.php?page_id=184.

It is very important that swift andvociferous action be taken now.Times are changing very rapidly, andunless we all come together on thisissue we may have to start thinkingabout growing our own food in thenear future to avoid calculatedextermination.
